I can see what you are saying. It's probable that people were too slow to adjust their expectations, partially because they didn't want to, and partially because it's just hard to try and slow down the train. Remember when RCAEd refused to confirm the release date that european Sony had slapped for the album, and wrote about the label change rearrangement possibly causing delays? No-one believed him. And lo, he was right. I have come to respect RCA Ed. He is sometimes rude and says things in harsh ways -- but he is usually right and does not seem to lie. ETA: RCA Ed did not say "2 months" -- but said something that indicated the shift was going to be meaningful. RCA ED say stuff all the time to calm people down over at AO and sometimes its vague and sometimes it's pure BS. I can dig up the screen cap when RCA Ed said Adam never even had a top 20 song and He started a fight with the fans if you want. That thread was fun before He deleted it. :  And Yes I have a lot of caps of RCA ED's comments because You never know when He's going to piss off the whole fandom and then delete the thread. RCA ED is also sly to say in a snarky way that everything is Adam's fault. And sometimes I wonder if there is more I love Ed threads at AO than I love Adam threads. : Isn't it funny that RCA Ed has been quiet this week and hasn't replied to any questions. Note: the period in "limbo" between management companies would have been 2 to 3 months. We know Adam is still working on the album. (Although he could still work on it until about October 15 and it could be released in mid-November.) Nobody has seen Lane or anybody from 19M with Adam since the AI10 finale we have no idea when the limbo period started between management. RCA Ed was intentionly vague about that to throw people off the Sony Germany release annoncement. Susan Boyle is releasing November 8th Daughtry November 21 Monica November 28th |

ITA Ed can be snarky -- but he didn't blame anything on Adam in his 8/17/11 post -- just posted that there was not release date because of "due to several details" including the management company switch. Other things have been held up during this transition, too. Like the new ALF's membership packages.
I find it more interesting how RCA Ed rarely uses Adam's name.

I can hardly believe how many I've had! Two of my children are Virgo's also so we had a joint celebration, including six of the grandchildren, so I do feel well feted! |

I am glad gelly has gone to bed, she shouldn't see this ... she is so sweet. Where is burrito, I have my bottle of wine open and there is not point in letting it breathe too much. I am in a seriously pissy mood. So if there is someone I can smack talk who is dissing Adam, let me at 'em. Where is that Batman bitch slap gif, because for no reason whatsoever that is my mood. It would probably be best if I just went and made myself some dinner. What does one do with undirected aggression? *Sigh* Modified... oh yeah, Happy Birthday Crispy. LOL. No really, I mean it. Personally I'll heave a little quiet sigh of relief when we know for sure that Adam has completed the joining/signing process with DMG and is no longer even a little in "limbo" or we get a concrete single drop date. Until then...i'm just floating along and assuming that it's all good.

Great work, 4msrmyn, I really enjoyed the progression of televisionwithoutpitys opinion from the beginning, which was a real cringe factor, to the end, where he seem to recognize the "IT" factor AFL has. Thanks so much, I really enjoyed this! What a wonderful gift to all of us! |

I'm in the mood to dream a bit. Now that we have some idea of what is coming with the single, here is my dream timeline. Oct- the new single is a smash Nov- because the single is such a smash black Friday sees an increase in sales of FYE, GNT live and AL Dec- Adam is nominated for a Grammy for GNT long form video Jan- Feb- Because the first single is a smash, a second one is released March- Adam is asked to perform at the Grammy's because he has 2 hit singles. He wins for GNT. His album is released to high numbers. It's fun to dream! I like this dream a lot!! |
