Congratulations JustKaren, to you and especially your granddaughter!!! What an adorable baby!! You DEFINITELY do NOT look old enough to have great grandchildren!! Wanna share your secret????? ;D The secret? I was a child bride! ;D I had this baby's grandfather just after I turned 18 (I got married the week after high school graduation, I was not quite 17). I don't recommend starting that young! It's nice on this end when I get great grandbabies while I am still young enough to enjoy them, but it sure was tough on the other end!

Speaking of songs, who's heard Daughtry's new song Renegade? It's very reminiscent of Bon Jovi and that era of music. Interesting! I wonder of rock stations will play it and if people in this era will like it. If so, I would love to see Adam do some more rock music. Rock stations MIGHT play Renegade. His fans are loving it. Supposedly, he has another single ready to send to HAC. Adam needs to stay far away from this type of music. The type of rock he has done in the past is more glam rock. Adam said his album would be more songs like IIHY and WWFM, so I'm expecting more Pop/HAC leaning songs from him. Does anyone remember what Q3 posted as far as the breakdown of percentages of sales amoung genres of music? I remember Pop was #1 and Rock was #2, but half of those sales came from back catalog purchases.

His web site is giving this song away free with every pre-order. They wouldn't give a single away free. I think it is just to get a "taste" of the album. Oh, and I like it! I won't be buying it and I can not watch him sing live because it always looks like he is either constipated or is going to pop his coratid artery. ;D

Brad Walsh wrote a blog piece (long, but very well written) about how some people refuse to give Christian Siriano the accolades he deserves simply because he won a reality show (Project Runway). It made me think of Adam and how the American Idol "stigma" may always follow him. quote: "Christian’s presence on Project Runway did not create his talent; it gave him an enormous and unprecedented platform with which to share it. And when he shared it, everybody realized that it was a great talent, especially given his age at the time. For legitimate fashion press to still continually defer back to the show at every turn undermines what Christian has accomplished since then, which is everything." Read here: www.bradwalsh.com/2011/09/looking-forward/Adam will always have the AI "stigma", which doesn't have to necessarily be a bad thing. It's been 10 years and Kelly Clarkson is still referred to as being an Americamn Idol winner. Carrie Underwood is the superstar of country music, and she still embraces her AI roots. I get the feeling Adam is extremely grateful for the trade off and accepts the fact that he will always be known as someone who got his start on American Idol. ??? If you like it, why wouldn't you buy it? Just wondering. I'm not a big Daughtry fan or anything!

I have 2 of Daughtry's singles from previous albums, but after awhile, his songs sound alike. My daughter has the albums and I tend to think it is one long, 40 minute song!
