I wanted to move out of the english speaking genre but with only one choice, I just could not favour an entry over this one.
I sing with a 65 member chorus led by a marvellous director who has been struggling with a form of leukemia. He has undergone horrific chemo and radiation treatments and bone marrow transplants [2] and until this summer [it is back] has been enjoying a brief remission. He has announced this is his last year...perhaps season...directing, so we are now singing his favorites.
We will be singing this come December 3 and 4th.
ETA This has made pretty much every songwriter's list as one of...often the best--songs written in the English language.

One year ago today, I had just got in line for the concert at The Tabernacle. I ended up 2 people from the stage and had the best time of my life.
We got Sleepwalker and Music Again with no coats because of the heat, it was LP's last night (and two great drum solo's), Adam told us we were beautiful (twice!), and the (sorry, Adam) EPIC RayGay!!
