I want to echo the post of Sizzling63, and add my thankfulness for the recent rain which California so badly needs right now. We have been through a rough couple of weeks with unhealthy air (schools closed, etc), but through it all my thoughts have continued to go to the town of Paradise which had become a popular retirement community. I knew of several people from the company I worked for who had decided to move there on their retirement. So far I have only learned of one who did not survive, but there must be more who may never be identified - my heart goes out to all those people caught in this fast moving fire. And also to all the wild animals and pets who got caught up in it too.
Hey!! Your post brings back incredible memories that we share - Adam's TOH concert at The Orpheum in LA where we sat pretty close to each other. My personal highlight: The Runnin/Sleepwalker/Chokehold medley, just to name one highlight. Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!

I am thankful for so many things, too numerous to mention them all. I am so very thankful for my wonderful family and in-laws (spread all over the country), and my adorable DH who puts up with my Adam obsession so well. I am thankful to be a nine 1/2 breast cancer survivor. I am also so thankful for the wonderful community here, and for all the work that Q3 and all the mods do to keep this a welcoming place to find information, share our love for Adam, and exchange ideas. I have learned so much from Adam and all of you to make me appreciate so much more in this world. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate this holiday, and greetings to our international friends here on this important day to us here in the US. Thoughts are with those suffering from the aftermath of the horrible California fires, and those who have lost their homes and possibly their lives. Thanksgiving is a day of hope, gratefulness and remembering all less fortunate than ourselves.

Happy Thanksgiving for everyone celebrating. Don’t eat too much! For me it was unfortunately just another long day of work, since we don’t have that Holliday over here. Enjoy!

The controversial and much-debated Freddie Mercury biopic is past the $400m mark, and the fat lady, or fat-bottomed girl, isn’t even close to singing. The $55m-budgeted film has been a domestic overperformer and an overseas giant, again showing the value of the live-action musical (or musically-driven) drama or comedy. It’s going to pass La La Land ($441m) and The Greatest Showman ($434m) while taking a run at $500m+ worldwide by the end. And once it gets over $161m domestic, it’ll pass Straight Outta Compton to become the biggest (unadjusted) musical biopic of all time in North America.

I am thankful to have been part of a huge, loving and hilarious extended family where you never had to feel lonely, ever, and mischief was just around the corner. I am thankful that despite suffering third degree burns and a staph infection, I am here, ready to drive up to spend Thanksgiving in the snow-covered mountains and see what my adopted white husky thinks of deep snow. I am thankful for my DH, who always stands by me despite my having an incurable, critical illness, and the not so fun roller-coaster it takes us on. I am thankful to have come across this forum, AND, I am thankful for getting to see QAL twice this year (but come on, Park Theater, you’ve gotta do something about those seats!) 😉
