The blue stone in Adams ring is a star sapphire. I have a much smaller one in a ring given to me for my 17th BD by my 1st serious boyfriend (who died in a car accident 2 months later). :(
When the light hits it right, the *star* shows up in the stone.
I too would love to hear more about Adams ancestors. Of course, I love to hear anything about Adam, but it would be interesting to learn more about his heritage.
I want to say a big *HAPPY BIRTHDAY* to all those who I've missed in the last month or so. I lurk some daily, but am so busy trying to find a job and keep my stress in check that I haven't been posting. I do think of all of you often.
And, to all of you who have been posting the awesome pics......THANK YOU!!!!!!!! The distraction is so welcome. I'll try to post a bit more but you all cover everything so well, it's not really necessary...lol!
I have a little story to tell you about some *Angels* that I'll share with you later. I always thought I got the *you get back what you give away* thing, but I REALLY get it now.

Have you posted your blog on this song for us that aren't members of AFL? If not, could you please post it here? Thanks! Sure! I posted it just now over in the Salon. This is the Outlaws of Love blog originally posted on ALFC on August 1 and that I read on Angela Kalahari's program webcast on September 15, 2011. Why I Love Outlaws of Love Mon, Aug 1, 2011 at 10:39 AM Like most fans here, I was enraptured by Outlaws of Love. Tears were streaming down my face as Adam worked his magic with a song so simple, but deeply devastating in the best possible sense. This song is what some music writers call “cathedral work,” a song that resonates as though in a soaring nave, drawing attention to the emptiness that surrounds it. Is there a translation of this week's Tutka? I checked the Sauli thread and can't find it.

Not a new article, with Adam mentioned. www.buffalorising.com/2011/08/fashion-maniac.htmlFashion Maniac: Androgyny in FashionLIFESTYLE August 26, 2011 10:12 AM "Does this trend have legs? Is this the beginning of solidifying it into our minds? Or it will be gone in the blink of an eye? Who knows? We shouldn't be surprised the trend is coming back - everything runs in cycles, and as the saying goes 'everything old is new again'. Lady Gaga is the modern day David Bowie (in his Zingy Stardust and Tall White Night phrase), as Adam Lambert could be today's Adam Ant. Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, the most contemporary glam king and queen of androgynous fashion today do bear a striking resemblance to the androgynous artists of an earlier era. (And whether or not Gaga is androgynous in both the physical and psychological sense, does it really matter? She rocks just the same. Thank you.) The androgynous figure in the fashion realm, as well as on a personal level, is looking for a place to call their own, to find redemption and a safe, emotional place from the hurts outside. The main message coming from these androgynous artists is individual expression. No doubt, this message holds a lot of appeal to fans-- those who want an excuse to rebel as well as those who genuinely want to be appreciated for just being different."
