I would imagine that some of the "majors" this show brought on might not have been familiar or awesome to kids of this age. But, Adam is immediately recognizable and a star. I'm sure it was a thrill.

I love this little clip of Adam ... (OK, I love every little clip of Adam (OK, OK, I watched the last 10 seconds of Project Runway a hundred couple of times)) ... and one thing that has always impressed me is his willingness to give both positive and negative critique but do it in an empowering way. It dawns on me that this is connected to his theater background. He has been taking direction all his life and is by now self-aware enough to know which type of direction has positively impacted him and which has not. He is willing to reach out to these kids (and others) with advice that is not only backed with experience but is also honest and given with a sincere desire for their improvement.
At first I thought ... Majors and Minors, bleh but it's Adam ... but now I am really looking forward to it.

I know! I love kids but kid talent shows, not so much. I kept forgetting about this but now, after seeing the promo, I probably will watch. :

_Pennyroyal Tim Foster I'm impressed with how many of you are purchasing Peace Pendants and asking me to send them as anonymous gifts. 1 minute ago
_Pennyroyal Tim Foster I've gotten 5 emails in the last hour from people wanting to anonymously gift pendants to people who can't afford them.

Also, I think Adam is such a fantastic role model for kids, so I'm really pleased about this gig for him. I'm pretty meh about kids (LOL) but I think this is a cool way to extend the envelope of his fanbase. Between this and the fashion stuff, it seems like this era will be about showing different facets of Adam beyond the singing, which I think is smart. It's all about exposure, and Adam is interesting on a lot of different levels.
