@mariana20501: Extracted from the interview given by Dr. Brian May for the Guitar Interactive magazine talking about the talent of @adamlambert and his surprise when Adam came down from the stage to the audience during I Was Born To Love You during Summer Sonic 2014. @drbrianmay @queenwillrock The full interview, in links below, is really great! You may need to click on the sound icon in the lower right of the video. In Part 1 Brian talks about QAL, which songs he likes to play, which songs are more tricky to play, his philosophy about performing, and some QAL live guitar bloopers. In the first half of Part 2 Brian talks about how his sound was influenced by his love of jazz and light classical in his early youth and then by rock'n roll. Same with Freddie. The second half of Part 2 includes a demo of how his red special guitar makes different sounds. Part 1: www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com/videoplayer?issue=40&umbracourlname=brian_may_interview_part_onePart 2: www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com/videoplayer?issue=40&umbracourlname=brian_may_interview_part_twoFascinating interview! Fascinating man! I feel so lucky to have gotten to know Queen as a band and esp. Brian May, who is a musical genius, a rock god, an intelligent, compassionate human being, and above all, a true English gentleman. And he adores Adam. Who could as for more?

Loving the TOH vids. That was an incredible tour! I hope A4 will result in a tour of high quality music and choreography. And Adam, of course, in all his beauty and vocal glory!

TOH tour was great. In fact all of Adam's solo tours have been wonderful. But from what he has been saying, and with the more mature look he has been sporting, he may be leaving pop heavy music, productions and choreography behind with his new music. If being a Queen frontman has taught him anything, it is that unlike many of his pop counterparts, he can hold an audience in the palm of his hands with his voice, showmanship and free flowing stage persona. He has promised something new and different and I think and hope we get it, with some of the Queen like influences he has been talking so much about. Something different may work out better for him. Shawn, Ariana, Troye (not to great success) Halsey, etc. occupy that space. Even Gaga seems to have ceded the space to them and moved on. But if he goes with the same thing and same style, I will still be supporting and cheering him on. But I don't think he will continue to follow the trend this time. My biggest hope is that he has a label and big support behind whatever he does.

@lurleene just to jump in shawn is one who doesn't have dancers. He has his band and himself. You gotta give that to him, even if he's not your cup of tea. Ariana is more of big production. Little mix often have a lot of dancers. It kind of makes me sad because they've got the vocals (JEALOUS AF of perrie Edwards voice).
Watching some of the other sing-offs on james Cordon i have to say the queen one is one of my favorites. Not just as a die heart Adam fan...i found in the others it was less song and more trash talk

My biggest hope is that he has a label and big support behind whatever he does. New young artists are always on the rise. Shawn, Ariana, Troye, etc. will have their day, too, but others will take their place. It's a real trick to keep relevant and change enough over time to keep people interested. I used to feel that Adam got his fame when he was just a bit too old. He was in his late twenties. So many pop stars make it big in their late teens and early twenties. Many just can't sustain that young adult persona for the long term. But as time goes on, But now I think that maybe Adam may have been lucky to make it big when he was a little older. His fan base is different. He doesn't have to struggle to look and act 20 yrs. old. I'm hoping that this next era will show him switching gears a bit and showing us something new that will draw attention and gain new fans. (and maybe even get some radio play). He is so incredibly talented, and a lot of that talent has yet to be tapped.

But he is appealing to the teens and tweens and really young fans, like the others. But you are right, he is not my cup of tea. Don't dislike him, but a little too bland and vanilla for my taste and his voice is not that great, imo. But he has a fantastic career, major success and huge following so that is really what matters to him and his fans.
