TOH came out on June 16th 2015 and he toured from early January 2016 until early May 2016. QAL Europe 2015 was in January/February South America 2015 in September Summer Festival 2016 in May/June 2016 Asia 2016 in September/October Depending on when the album will come out I suspect he might tour early 2020 again. Doing some festival performances in the summer before QAL maybe and some holiday shows at the end while also doing a few QAL shows in Europe at the end of 2019? No idea. Thanks Simone! and Thanks for bringing over so much info for us everyday.....not just the stats which are great....but everything else too! and for doing those DL links which I can't do....lol It's a pleasure Sheila!

A question: I‘ve heard, that it’s a thing by now to release an album and announce a tour at the same time. You get a CD with every ticket you buy. This way artists try to sell more albums. Does it work like that and could this even be an option for Adam?

Thanks everyone who replied. It's very interesting reading your thoughts. The one thing that still confuses me is, if he left his label on his own accord, why did he do it just before his album was supposed to be released? I bet it wasn't easy for him to give up all the songs he worked so hard on. It had to be something significant that made him do it. But I guess we won't know, not in the near future anyway. But all's well that ends well, and the near future holds good things!

So what made you confident he had a label? (I'm actually really curious to know). And do you know of any speculations as to why Adam and Warner have separated? It's unusual after only one album, isn't it? I only know bits and pieces that were on Atop, but from those sources it seems that things really started to change when Adam switched management. That management team had had a member leave and someone new come in. (Was this the former RCA guy?) No idea if that was part of Adam wanting to leave. Could simply be that he was interested in a new management approach and had found one either because he was approached by someone or because through asking around one had been recommended to him.
He then signed with Phillymack. At first it was speculation on the part of fans, then it seemed to be confirmed by what was written in a recent QAL program. No hints about why he signed with Phillymack.
Then we noticed he was no longer listed on the Warner label website. Later a poster, pineappleophelia, I think, who knows someone in Warner's marketing office said that her contact said Adam left by his choice, but that she, the person in Warner's marketing, did not know why.
Someone, Q3 I think, mentioned that Phillymack liked to have the artists they worked with on a certain label that is somewhere under Universal. So maybe Adam made a label switch for that reason, who knows.
Last piece of puzzle is that Phil McIntyre, who founded Phillymack, took a position: "Phil McIntyre, longtime manager for Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato, has been named President of Management at Roc Nation, the entertainment firm founded by Jay-Z which represents Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Mariah Carey, J. Cole and a slew of additional artists, personalities and sports stars.
The appointment was announced by Roc Nation CEO and co-founder Jay Brown. It is a new position for the 10-year-old company, but McIntyre’s Philymack has been partnered with Roc Nation since 2015."
From all this Atop peeps have guessed that in order to leave Warner Adam had to wait a specified time before putting out new music, which is often a requirement when leaving a label. Additionally, one might guess that there has been a lot of change, and possibly chaos, as Phil McIntyre, and Phlllymack in general, settled into their new groove.
Now Adam's comments make it seem as if things are moving along smoothly again. Hope so.

And then there seems to be some upheaval at Phillymack due to Demi Lovato firing Phil McIntyre. Still don't know want the outcome of that is.

I don't know if that is true if Adam paid for the song writing sessions and studio time.

Adam may not tour solo right away when music is released, but there could well be many promo appearances, some of which require buying a ticket, such as the performance when TOH came out at Morongo, or the one at the Phoenix Celebrity Theater.

Does it work like that and could this even be an option for Adam? I asked a question like that many months ago. I asked if it was only the big sellers who did the album tour bundles. I think we can't look at how he did things before as a sure indications of how he will do things this time. Things in the industry have changed. His team has changed. The turn around seems to be much faster now for everyone. How he did things 7 years or even 3 plus years ago may not even apply or be the model now. Daughtry announced his tour dates before his album was even released.

Indeed, it is possible that Adam and his team could choose the tour right away, bundle cd with ticket pathway. I've noticed some less well known artists and groups doing that, so it is not just the better known artists doing it.

It looks like he left on good terms. I think, you can work things out, if you want to. Adam said, he now has songs worth of three albums. It takes a lot of time to create such an amount of music. Especially for Adam, since he isn’t the genius composer, who just writes one hit after another. Besides:It‘s common to record that many songs, before an artist and his label decide, what appears on an album. I hate, that we will possibly never hear most of them.

That’s what I meant: Things have changed so much during these past 3-4 years, that it’s impossible to tell, how era 4 will start.
