Tim Roxborogh @timroxborogh 12 Months Of NZ Herald Concert Reviews, Including A âProfoundâ Paul McCartney, An âExtravagantâ Queen + Adam Lambert, A âBonkersâ Katy Perry & An âUnexpectedly Poignantâ Cher. www.roxboroghreport.com/2018/12/12-months-nz-herald-concert-reviews-including-profound-paul-mccartney-extravagant-queen-adam-lambert-bonkers-katy-perry-unexpectedly-poignant-cher.html ⊠12 Months Of NZ Herald Concert Reviews, Including A âProfoundâ Paul McCartney, An âExtravagantâ Queen + Adam Lambert, A âBonkersâ Katy Perry & An âUnexpectedly Poignantâ Cher. 12 months ago I started reviewing concerts for the New Zealand Herald. Not every week and not even every month, but on average, every couple of months Iâd find myself with pen and notepad at a gig by one of the biggest artists of all time. Tough job but someone has to do it! So, conveniently all gathered in the one place for your reading pleasure, here they are. From Cat Stevensâ âintimate and grandâ December 2017 gig, to Paul McCartneyâs âprofoundâ performance that same month, to Queen + Adam Lambertâs âextravagantâ February concert, to Katy Perryâs âbonkersâ August show, to Cherâs âunexpectedly poignantâ September night and to finally, Shania Twainâs âhands in the air like you just donât careâ backing-track-a-thon from earlier this week, here are the links plus a few photos too: www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=11997008As for my best pick out of those six? While Queen + Adam Lambert was so slick, exciting and stadium-worthy that I hope they tour again but in a massive outdoor venue, itâs Sir Paul who just pips them to get the nod. Sure, his voice may not quite be what it once was, but that December 2017 gig really was profound. It was also moving, joyous and a reminder of the undeniable power that live music can have. It doesnât have to be perfect to be a near perfect concert-going experience and thatâs precisely what Paul McCartney that early summerâs night was. Thanks for reading and all the best for 2019! Tim.

Anne Preven is a song writer and cofounder of Pulse Music Group. Thus group includes several writers who have worked with Adam in the past, including Sam Sparro, Tommy English, and Bonnie McKee. Note that Anne mentions working with Adam Lambert but does not mention Megan Trainor. @annepreven: So exciting!! This has been a glorious musical adventure and Iâve loved every second of working on it!!
