Some of Adam's best and most moving music has never been released to radio. Others have been able to get played on top 40 and other charts and also reach an audience who want to hear good music and don't give a sh** about dancing in the club. Those artists are selling to people who are adults and they are playing arenas. I always feel that they did not take advantage of and market Adam's biggest asset, his voice. I think he has come around now to want more. I just hope he has a label who will get behind him and make sure that people get to hear him and his Queen influenced music with real instruments, if that is still his plan. I also feel that for a long time Adam himself didn't take advantage of his biggest asset, but it does look like he is finally coming around now. Fingers crossed. I was just wondering what would happen if Adam released "Time For Miracles" now... Agree. But didn't Adam say it was Max Martin who told him to hold back on TOH album? Geez Max writes/produces for everyone and some of them are not great vocalists. But his songs get played a ton when they are done by certain artists. But WWFM did well. And I was never impressed with Dr. Luke, tho, his songs got played a lot also when released by certain artists too. Adele and SS and Ed are not the most exciting artists out there but their emotional songs were heavily played on top 40 and other places. But Adam can do emotional and still put on an exciting performance and bring you to your darn knees (and he can rock) but how many got to see that after Idol?

So if Bohemian Rhapsody gets any Oscar nominations, maybe Queen will perform. Maybe they will anyway because the award show needs music. Oh that would be wonderful! They would not dare get Panic at the Disco to do BR would they?

But Adam can do emotional and still put on an exciting performance and bring you to your darn knees (and he can rock) but how many got to see that after Idol? I do remember that MM encouraged Adam to record more understated, softer vocals in his last album, which I think can work depending on the "production". For me, Adam's "biggest asset" or strong suit is his voice and the arc in his story telling through song - from tender, controlled vocals to more powerful belting. "Believe" last night was a perfect example. People across the board were just FLOORED last night. Runnin, Girl Crush, SMGO, and Idol "favorite" Mad World come to mind as well. I hope Adam gets it by now that it is his voice first and foremost that draws audiences in. The skilled playfulness in his singing was also the base of the many super sexy versions of WLL. Anybody can do an overproduced dance track but hardly anybody can "play" and literally "seduce" with their voices like Adam does. If Adam finds the right song for himself he will no doubt leave the usual radio suspects in the dust.
