So far I saw Rami (interview) and spotted Dr Bri, Lucy Boynton, Roger, Sarina and Jim Beach. I assume that’s the BR representation.

In addition, the upcoming home movie sales for this movie are anticipated to be good, pushing the gross revenue even higher. This film has still a while to climb and will climb past quite a few other movies on the 100 highest grossing list before it is done.
The award shows will determine how great the absolute total will be. The adjusted value list seems to be published mostly for the US domestic revenue numbers, not so much for the international numbers, but obviously, newer movies always have the benefit of the highest valuation. Works when you enter the list, but once you are on it, the newer films will get to chase you.
For a movie like this, it is mindboggling how high this movie is charting, and it seems to develop some kind of cult-classic status already. Sing-alongs only add to that impression. Are people going to dress up as Freddie and start throwing rice before before this is all over? Just amazed at the legs this movie has grown....and how silent all these critics have become, whose reviews are reading like a whole bunch of stupid if read right now.
Stump-stump-clap, stump-stump-clap! Stump-stump-clap!
Well said! From the time the first Trailer came out, everyone seemed to be working overtime to discredit the movie for not telling Freddie's entire life in it or in a 2 hr movie. But the BR cast and crew and producers are riding pretty high right now. To be fair, most critics who gave the film a mixed or bad review have not become silent. Other than making year end lists of good and bad, professional critics don’t usually carry on after they write a review. Critics often pan movies that go on to be very popular. I mean we discuss the frequent gap between popular and good, right? But yes noms/wins will keep BH in theaters weeks longer. And it may be good news to many to hear that there is growing concern among various industry members and watchers that the film will receive an Oscar nom. Each year there are people who do informal sampling of voters to see what the trends are. They’ve been surprised and mostly disappointed by the popularity of BH w voters. There are three main categories of objection - the obvious: most, even those who enjoyed it, just don’t think it’s is Oscar worthy, but no one is terribly upset about that - nominating popular but not great films is a very common occurrence. Those who are emotional in their opposition are coming from the anti Bryan Singer perspective. There is an exceptionally high level of agreement/upset that Singer has completely gotten away with abuse(crime) that some argue exceeds Harvey W. This upset is centered on a possible Best Pic nom (unlikely there would be a Best Dir nom but who knows really). There is a much smaller but passionate contingent that feels the movie went beyond creative license in a way that unfairly made Freddie out to be an ungrateful degenerate in a band of wholesome marrieds who broke up the band because of drugs and delusions of solo grandeur. These Mercury defenders have strong feelings about the make Freddie grovel scene; they generally say they aren’t hung up on accuracy but that this constitutes a smear job of a generally good person and loyal band member. Yeah, so there’s enough good will for Rami that most people are ok w his nom even if they think were more deserving roles because he’s the real deal as an actor and it could be argued that Rami and the music saved an otherwise tired trite script directed in a point the camera manner. i honestly don’t care (if Adam’s not involved). I’m in the group that enjoyed the movie a lot but def didn’t think it was one of the best films of the year A belated Happy New Year to all
