I just saw Rami, Brian and Roger in my television (the main news of the day). It felt like I knew them. Like my uncle was on television and I felt so proud and familiar. 🤣❤️

So very happy for Brian and Roger and especially Rami. Rami gave a very heartfelt acceptance speech and deserved his win, imo. I would not expect anything other than a meltdown from GaGa fans. Would not expect anything other than disbelief from all the critics who did not succeed in convincing everyone that BR was a awful movie without exploitation of Freddie. BR is winning at the box office and they can't change that but I'm sure they are not thrilled that they are also being nominated and winning awards. I'm with you. The critics are probably thinking WTF? ASIB was a skillfully done, heartfelt story performed by excellent actors. It really deserves recognition. But it didn't touch me like BoRhap did. I predict that ASIB will do much better at the Oscars. But I also hope that BR wins a few Oscars, too. Two different parts of the movie spectrum, both with a lot to offer. Hope there was an after-party that maybe Adam got to attend. He's Queen's front man, after all. As I said in last night's post, Adam is reaping the benefits of BR's success in his own way. More than anything, I want 2019 to be a turning-point year for him with new recognition and exposure that lift him up to a new level of success. Those 2019 QAL audiences better take note at what they are seeing and hearing. Adam is really worth their attention. I didn't see ASIB and I know people loved it, but it's the 4th remake. I am glad something original and based on a true story won. Checked out the Queen Zone and Queen Online and there seems to be a lot more people flailing here than there. But on Queen FB there are a lot of people happy. I notice there a lot more people there who support and defend Adam than those other two sites that seem to have mostly haters.

Assuming you are not asking rhetorically, it is a misspelling of "snack", as in "looks so good I want to eat him" (or do even more in a sexual way due to being yummy). Technically speaking, I selected the word in Google Chrome and right-clicked it, selected "Search Google for "snacc"", and got the results from Urban Dictionary on top of the search results page... www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=snacc

Not only Bri has a milllion followers but his posts gain an enormous amount of likes! This latest one has 330,509 likes already! www.instagram.com/p/BsVM8eNhpDZ/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=1vm5g3pcuntheand Roger, who is very new to IG, has over half a million followers! this movie is doing wonders for Queen popularity. It seems every other ad or tv series has Queen music in it nowadays! the tour is sold out pretty much 7 months in advance! I am thinking ( given the world wide popularity) 2020 will be a huge tour year as well! Just stay healthy everyone!

YAY for BoRhap!! I read that the movie has done really well in South Korea and Japan. I wonder if they will extend the tour to Asia again. I kind of think they will just keep on touring as long as there is demand and Brian and Roger feel healthy. And Adam gets to do what he loves -- performing before an audience -- and making a lot of money while doing it! I'm also anxious to hear Adam's new music and I hope, hope, hope that gets a great response, but I'm also happy he has QAL in his back pocket for fun and security.

I just loved that quote from Rami about thinking someone was playing a joke on him. So cute. It does remind me of Adam's reaction when he was first approached by Queen to front the band at the EMA's. Sometimes big opportunities come your way when you are not looking for or expecting them. Both Rami and Adam took those opportunities (daunting as they were) and made them bigger than even they expected they would become. Queen has been a gift to them and they have been a gift to Queen. www.rollingstone.com/movies/movie-features/bohemian-rhapsody-queen-biopic-696188/“Sacha was never officially attached to this project,” King says. “I never thought Freddie could be played by a white actor. And there was never a script where Freddie Mercury dies halfway through the movie. Never. I kept my mouth shut through that whole thing, but I’ll go official on that now.” There was briefly talk of Ben Winshaw taking on the part, but that changed when King’s fellow producer Denis O’Sullivan phoned in one day and said three words: “I found Freddie.” He sent over a video of Malek doing his best Mercury. “I was like, ‘That’s him,'” says King. “‘Done. Found him.’ There was never a second look or waiver from our side that this guy wasn’t Freddie Mercury.” That sort of enthusiasm was completely shocking to Malek. “I thought someone was playing a joke on me,” he says. “But when I spoke to Graham I got the sense this could actually be real. That was flooring. I felt massive excitement … [which] was followed by the extreme, daunting weight of the thing. It felt like something that could go away in a heartbeat.”

Hubby comes into the bedroom this morning ---wakens me to tell me Queen is on the front page of our morning newspaper I am thrilled Rami won! I am still a bit surprised, but very happily surprised, the film got the Globe, but hey---a win is a win. Obviously in the eyes of the foreign press BRhapsody was a worldwide hit and had merit. I hope the sound crew gets a nod for an Oscar nomination. (Hair and make-up has already been nominated.) As for Adam appearing last night...I personally think this was the night to shine for those who spent years in the making of this film, or had a significant role in the final creation of the film, plus their families. I agree with Spike and others on the thread that with the addition of Adam, the QAL concerts have given Queen a resurgence that cannot be discounted. Yet this was not a night for Adam. (ie Spike was not there---and he has been with Queen since forever). PS. Javi posted a pic from Adam's last night in the late evening...so unless he was puppy sitting again...haha, Adam was at home.

It bugs me a bit that so many social media outlets make it seem like ASIB was the only serious contender. It sure didn't help that Gaga sat front row wearing a very regal gown that required several assistants to move in. I really liked ASIB and I do like Gaga's voice, but I could connect with her as an artist much better if her persona was more like the one in the movie. Anyways, seeing it once was good but I do not feel the need to see it again. Bohemian Rhapsody however felt like an "event", like something to be celebrated, more than once. Similar to QAL concerts

Those 2019 QAL audiences better take note at what they are seeing and hearing. Adam is really worth their attention. Just to throw a wrench into things I don't think this is going to lessen the "he isn't Freddie" memes, it might intensify them. The reason why the whole FLD has never been a problem for the QAL Colloboration. Is Adam. Is single minded idea to keep Freddie the forefront of everything they do. And make it perfectly clear, he is not hear to replace him. IS why it works. The balance. Adam is not Freddie, and never professes to be. He is Adam Lambert, the one and only. Just like their is only one Freddie Mercury, their is only one Adam Lambert. I loved SIB. I Thought Gaga and Cooper were phenominal. Really connected to their performances. Personally I Think Gaga is going to take out the Oscar for Best Actress, and probably Original Song at the Grammys too. But it felt vicarious. It was the 4th remake of the film. Where as with Bohemian Rhapsody. I had a different experience. IT felt like an EVENT. Like the Rocky Horror Picture Show was in the 70s. I Could watch this glorious Gem over and over, and always get something new out of it.
