Not interested, but I‘ve just been on twitter. BoRhap was nominated for 5 Oscars yesterday. Today „news“ make the rounds about Singer and all these old accusations. I even saw a Glambert calling for a boycott of the movie. The actors, Brian and Roger get attacked on social media for working with Singer. It’s mad! My opinion: This is a very well aimed online campaign to attack BoRhap. And it looks like it will work. Even Malek gets fire and is mocked for his interview today, where he denied, that he had known about the Singer-allegations, when he got his role. Apparently the choice of Singer as the director is now backfiring big times. The best about it is, that the film is now more successful than anyone has hoped for. This won’t hurt too much. If I wasn't waiting for the other shoe to drop since last year & rumors only begun to spread. What people don't ask is do people actually know (as Rami said) and the other is - How much do Brian, Roger,the cast & crew and Adam have a say on who is the director and how much it was the studio execs who decide upon who is going to direct a movie. Trial by media. I'm not sure how a film that didn't employ underage actors should be effected. |

Above the comments section, where it says "1,628 Comments", click on the lines to the right where it says "Sort By", and you'll see a drop down menu of Top Comments or Newest First .. select Newest First and you should see the most recent comments. Adam liked Olly's comment "Which of these actors are queer?!" I understand some of the frustration of the queer community when straight actors often get praise for their queer roles, while the opposite isn't happening as much. Aside from biases of course, I am thinking that the talent pool from the queer community is also smaller. |

It’s a difficult situation, I think, because there are only accusations, but nothing was ever proved. Would it be fair or the right thing not to hire someone, because of old accusations? The law says you’re innocent until you’re proved guilty. Going by that, Singer is innocent. nothing of it is new, the quoted accusations are sometimes 20 years old. So what should the execs say? They already fired him. Everything that they might possibly say would be considered wrong, IMO. And could be a problem in any legal sues by Singer, who didn’t accept his suspension. But yes, if the accusations are true, then Singer should face another trial, if that’s even possible. But I think, one shouldn‘t take the film and everyone, who worked with Singer, into „custody“ as well. All this is just to diminish the chances of the film and Rami to win an Oscar. And the Glambert, who goes around saying, that fans should stop supporting Rami, the other actors and the film, because of it, should stop supporting Adam as well, IMO. At least, if she’s honest. He’s in the film as well. And he -as a gay man in Hollywood - might know a bit more about Singer and „his boys“ than the rest of that team. Because according to the quoted people in the articles, people in the gay community in Hollywood knew about Singer and his doings. People talk. Just saying... OK, now back to more positive things. Because I for one don’t hold anyone else but Singer responsible for his actions.  |

How did you find the comment. I don't see it! On the whole, the comments have been really lovely and complimentary.. sorry that those from Europe can't read them. Here's one that speaks to the healing properties of Adam's voice, and the other one is the top comment. Nick Mesogianes 2 weeks ago I know that so many people give him shit for being the new front man of Queen, which is silly because he's amazing and is not trying to replicate Freddie, but we can all just take a moment and appreciate his talent? He slowed down the music and gave it more of an orchestra feel and the lyrics hit a lot harder and deeper then the original song. Normally, cover songs are a hit or miss depending how much you change it up. But this gave me goosebumps and all i can say is....amazing 726 thumbs up I reported it too. No need to give this person any further attention. |

Rami is a hired actor for a lead role. He had no say in who was the hired director. Adam with a minor cameo certainly had no say so hard to see why his name is even coming up. Should they or Brian and Roger not honor and want to tell Freddie and Queen's story because of the director? It is Freddie and Queen's story. If Bryan did something wrong they had many years to bring charges and convict. He is not nominated for anything but there seems to be a big effort to ensure that BR is not honored further either. As for Rami playing a gay role, it happens all the time. Gay actors should not be excluded for playing non-gay roles either if they are right for a part. Being jealous of someone getting recognition for a job well done is not helpful to anyone or any community. If they can't hire the actors they want for a project, it may not get made or they end up doing a poor job. RHPS was a good example of horrible casting in the lead, imo. That character was to shock and take you on a wild and crazy ride. It wasn't to try to look and act like a dull Beyonce. Adam was the only character I enjoyed about that remake. JMO.
