Angelina Kalahari posted this about Adam's Nessun Dorma on Queenbert fans facebook page.
Thanks sooooo much for posting this, Cameron, and for alerting me to it! There's so much to talk about in this small clip. Forgive me if a fangirl a over it - I'm not saying anything in order here. To answer your question, Cameron, yes, he definitely could hit those high end-of-aria notes - no problem. I feel the reason he stopped where he did was because he was singing it a cappella. This is difficult enough to do and the precision of pitch means he knows this aria very well. But singing the end part without music may not be as impactful as it could be with the accompaniment. We all know that Adam loves a bit of drama and I feel his artistic dramatic senses prompted him to stop the aria there. It might also be because he sang bigger notes later on that night, right? Here's the thing that kills me - he sings this aria in a commercial way. What this says to me is that he didn't want to set his voice in an operatic way because he had a commercial programme for the rest of the night. The way you sing opera and the way you use your voice for commercial singing is very different from each other. He gives us a glimpse of what he sounds like as an operatic tenor. Abd there were glimpses of ah-mah-zing operatic notes delivered brilliantly! I ADORE the way he interprets the aria with just the perfect nuances in his voice showing such wonderful control. I WISH I could have been there!!!! Also, his Italian is surprisingly good - another indication that he is familiar with this music! I know most people don't think of singers as musicians. But trust me - we are! Not only do we have to learn the lyrics and interpret them, we have to learn the melody, the timing and all other musical nuances. Then, we have to remember it all, sing without sheet music and interpret the song in a very vulnerable position in front of an audience. Most musicians don't have to do that. They're typically safely ensconced behind an instrument with sheet music on front of them and not required even to make eye contact with the audience. The fact that Adam can perform many different styles of music so effortlessly makes him a master singer-musician in my eyes. To me personally, using this aria, even though he sang gorgeously, this is Adam showing his participation in Italian culture. He does it wherever he goes, right? A few phrases spoken in other languages? What could be better than singing such a well-known operatic aria to show the same in Italy? I'd kill to hear him sing the entire aria! Gush finished!!!

Ah right, I haven't read the whole thing yet. Do you know his screen name on there, I'm on the forum there but don't post very often. His screen name is ‚Administrator‘. He’s the boss. Really? So it’s Nick from “the tour commentary” who is responsible for the sess pool they’ve created there under his “leadership”? He is the one who allows all the vitriol towards Brian and Roger go unchecked year after year? Wow! I always feel bad for the guys, they deserve better.
