GuidetoGay.com: Adam Lambert and mother to be honoured by PFLAG guidetogay.com/the-news/news-intl/831-adam-lambert-and-mother-to-be-honoured-by-pflagOne of the worlds best performers, and a firm favourite here at Guidetogay.com, Adam Lambert and his mother Leila Lambert will be honored by Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) at their Sunday The LA Event in Beverly Hills, California. In June, Leila and Betty DeGeneres, mother of chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, marched side-by-side wearing matching red PFLAG t-shirts at the West Hollywood Gay Pride Parade, gaining a huge amount of exposure for the organisation - which consistantly supports the wider GLBTI Community, our friends and allies and presents a truthful front to the wider world, educating those about differences in people and acceptance of sexuality. From an interview with the winner of this week's PR challenge: The Examiner: Speaking of rock music, Adam Lambert was the guest judge this challenge. How was that? Viktor Luna: First of all, he’s a great musician and singer. I absolutely love “What Do You Want From Me”…I always sing it! Not only that, but he’s an inspiration to everyone, especially different artists on different competitive shows like American Idol or Project Runway. He came in second place, and he has the most amazing career. He never stops, and that’s what I admire about him. As a judge, he gave feedback that could actually help you, not just negative comments. www.examiner.com/theater-scene-in-new-york/the-drama-of-fashion-designer-viktor-luna

NoAngel, I LOVED your essay today. What amazes me : is that people can't seem to distinguish between 'fake humbleness' and 'real humbleness' - Adam obviously has worked very hard and it is his self-confidence that allows him to support and praise so many fellow artists unfailingly on twitter, and has allowed him to be so gracious in real life.

After hearing all the comments regarding Adam being arrogant all I see is humble yet excited and confident and why shouldn't he be. He's put his heart and soul into this project! I for one want him to promote himself. It wasn't too long ago when it was all he could do to defend himself without much help from anywhere. Now he's beaming with pride! Good for him!!!! Another simple observation: the arrogant Adam praises everyone in his site - literally - he ALWAYS finds something nice to say, be it a piece of something one wears, says or does... I don't even want to go into his incessant pimping of everyone's music (which made me totally distrust his recommendations :-[)

He should win. His designs are consistently interesting, appropriate to the challenge and superbly executed. He is confident without any drama or arrogance. Reminds me of someone I love.

Yesterday, after talking about "Idolatry," I went to play around in the AMAZING archive that 4Msrmyn has created. I read and watched some of the shows from earlier in the season that was before I discovered Slezak. Of course, some of his early criticism is straight out of the "The Jaded AI Watchers' Guide to the Universe," with the "producer's favorite," and "pimp spot" buzz words, but as the season went on, their perception of Adam as a gutsy performer, incredible vocalist and all-around nice guy came through. This one is particularly relevant to our discussion today. First and third vids have lots of BTBW footage and Adam discussion.
