The Sleepwalker GNT Video -- is awesome. This is the arrangement that they should have released as a single -- but a studio version, mixed for radio. It is so much more powerful without the long instrumental lead-in. And JMHO Monte's more rock-centric guitar break is better for me. (And I think Orianthi is great, just think Monte and Adam are perfect together.) That aol link is not working for me to see this and I don't see it on the Vevo channel. Is there another link to this SW? tatum posted a YT vid link on p.10

My guess is that James refers to Adam for too reasons -- he is a male vocalist with a high vocal range and he was/is a bit off of the mainstream, and he is an outsider We all recognize that Adam is a role model to people who are not mainstream. And clearly, Adam is inspiring all kinds of people to persue their dream and not give in to pressure to be "normal" whatever "normal" is. But you know, James' admiration of Adam is really quite sweet, and in my opinion TOTALLY matches Adam's stated hopes that he can be an inspiration to those lonely kids (or adults!) who feel like the oddball outsiders. I'm not watching Idol this year (more b/c I'm either not home or I'm putting a small kidlet to bed at that time than for any sort of anti-AI reason). However, I truly hope James does the best he can in this competition and that - whenever he leaves - he can do it with his head held high.

Every time Adam puts his hand down his pants I turn into a 28-year old wild child. Where was he when I was 28? I would have begged him to let me work for him. I was a great Executive Administration Assistant with accounting..

WELCOME lindam88888 and algalhiGlad you delurked and have joined us.. Well.. I haven't really seen Durbin compare himself to Adam acutally.. he has mentioned Adams name.. but, I haven't heard him say.. "I sing like Adam Lambert"... he said.. I put in high notes LIKE Adam Lambert.. and my favorite moment from S8 was Adam Lambert w/KISS.. because he loves KISS .. didn't say he loved Adam.. Well I am trying so hard to not watch but, I really love Fever and I finally watched that one and SW.. man I can't wait for the whole thing. If they only put up a clip at the rate of 1 a wk you won't have the whole show.. so this seems to be just a taste of the show. Before the AGIGC performance -- I would have agreed with you about James not trying to compare himself to Adam But that pushed me over the top. In the pre-Idol audition -- he described his style as glam, sleeze, grunge, Seattle-style, arena rock and metal. He was not wearing any of the following -- which he wore to his Idol audition: Black nail polish Black leather rock gloves Chuck chain Black eyeliner Then Jame mentions Adam by name twice. Randy has done the Adam comparison at least 2 times. Finally, he covers ACEGC which was one of Adam's signature performances. Too many coincidences for me to believe it is by chance. My only question is -- whose idea is this? James' or the Idol producers. I say the producers are involved. However, James had this singing style before Adam was on Idol.... From 2008 --- www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA_aRNm0YdMAnd here is his SSB from 2009 --- www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMX59QqYezU&feature=player_embedded#at=36He is a better vocalist than a couple of winners -- but really reminds me of Gokey. Needs a vocal coach. ETA: Idol producers are playing with us again ---- Durbin has had a ton of vocal coaching -- and even recording coaching. All removed from his bio now. But like everything the crumbs remain -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsvQ2Cpzfl0&feature=relatedETA #2: Predicting he covers WLL -- it was part of his concert set for a couple of years. Caution --- not Adam: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYhy44r0EZI&feature=relatedETA #3: Not hating on James and I think he is OK. I strongly hope he distances himself from these Adam comparisons really fast. It will hurt him. I am now down with him -- not my cuppa as a person or a vocalist but I wish his the best. I like Gokey a lot better by the way, even though I compared them above.

Hi everybody. Also delurking after reading for quite a while here and in the old place. As it is a slow day its a good time to do it. YAY! Welcome and happy you came out to play!!I'll second the welcome and piggy-back your gif, very nice! I now remember why I never made downloads of the Indy concert. I tried 20th Cen Boy and the file was too big. I had to learn how to make a zip file. (My lack of basic computer skills is so frustrating.) I believe I have made zip file, now. At least, Sendspace is trying to upload and didn't send me a reject message right away.
