I'm posting an excerpt here from a column of *gasp* John Moser's review of the top 24 on Idol. He mentions Adam briefly in his critique of James Durbin - surprise, surprise - but the real reason I'm posting this is for the following paragraph: What does that tell you about Mr. John Moser and his dislike of Adam? Message to John Moser:

But you know, James' admiration of Adam is really quite sweet, and in my opinion TOTALLY matches Adam's stated hopes that he can be an inspiration to those lonely kids (or adults!) who feel like the oddball outsiders. I'm not watching Idol this year (more b/c I'm either not home or I'm putting a small kidlet to bed at that time than for any sort of anti-AI reason). However, I truly hope James does the best he can in this competition and that - whenever he leaves - he can do it with his head held high. I'm so confused as to how people are getting admiration from the two comments James has made. In his Road to Hollywood vid, what he actually said was, "My favorite Idol moment would have to be when Adam Lambert played with KISS, because KISS is like one of my all time favorite bands, and I just got to see them, and it was amazing. And it's just ... to imagine myself being there, just blows my mind." That seems to be about KISS more than Adam. And then last night what he actually said was, "I started my journey throwing my screams in, just like Adam Lambert. And it's like, what else can I do, they're just gonna expect it, you know?" To me it doesn't sound like he admires Adam so much as he totally thinks he can BE him. Last night's clip was from after he got a negative response from the judges after his group performance. It felt like he was frustrated, saying, I'm doing it just like Adam Lambert, I don't get why it's not working, that's what they wanted me to do. I think an example of someone actually admiring Adam is Casey Abrams, who said in his Road to Hollywood vid, "My favorite American Idol moment would probably be Adam Lambert singing Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash, because he twisted it and made it into this very middle eastern sounding thing and it just sounded incredible with his voice, even though it was country week, but it just ... it was amazing." Actual I do not believe most people this he admires Adam -- I think he is trying to invoke Adam's name to get media coverage -- and so are the Idol producers thru Randy -- and it worked. He not only go media coverage for it since his audition -- the topic has taken over all the Adam sites. He has followed up the press with his personal fund raising drive. In my experience, TPTB at Idol will do almost anything to get press coverage. There are countless examples of distorted profiles of people. Adam was much more that a theater kid, but they wanted a simple theatrical singer character for the show. Kris went on some brief missions like half the people in the South do and played in his church band -- and he was presented as a worship leader -- they left out his drinking, and party friends because they didn't fit the storyline. They like to paint with a wide brush. We all know from AI8 -- Adam was really not "bad" and Kris was really not "good" but they had a storyline to play out and they did it. It is a TV program -- not reality.

Okay, I feel really dumb asking this question, but I've never bought/had a concert DVD before... Will this GNT DVD be the actual whole concert as the audience sees it, from beginning to end... Like, it will flow without stopping? There won't be any breaks, right? like piecing together a whole bunch of you tube vids?
