OK, I'm confused about all those tweets from that guy re. doing a remix... I thought remixes always came out *after* the original song... know what I mean? Like the Aftermath remix. I got the feeling that this new song he was talking about is going to appear before the original?? Not necessarily, I'm pretty sure Gaga had remixes released right along with the single releases on this last album. Sometimes the remixes go straight to the club DJ's and the general public doesn't really hear about them.

So, I tried to listen to that youtube that Q3 posted on p.1, and I'm kinda thinking I hate it. HATE. I do "upbeat" really well, but not sure about the "speedy gonzalez" stuff. Can't we just hear the original??? I listened to only about the first 30 seconds of the youtube on page 1 on my phone before my data allowance for the month on my phone ran out, and although it sounded reflective of D&B in the UK generally, it didn't really show the best of the commercial side of Chase & Status, who that guy referenced last night. I can't do links from my computer at work but try looking up Chase & Status ft. Plan B - "End Credits", the single rather than a remix. Another good one if you want one with a bit more vocals is Chase & Status - "Blind Faith". I might be a bit biased because I was seeing Chase & Status in clubs years ago when they were about 5th down on the lineup but I do think they have had an influence on the mainstream UK music scene. Another good one to look up is Nero - I think they are signed to Chase & Status's record label and just recently had a No 1 single and album here. They are more on the commercial dubstep side of things. Um... maybe try the track "Innocence".

Snippets and singles and songs.....the waiting game has an endless variety of possibilities.
Just ready now for the whole thing, yet working on patience, cultivating an attitude of gratitude that we have endless videos and each other to keep ourselves entertained, but damn, it's difficult and I am so ready for new music and tour dates.
This time last year, midwifespal, my partner and myself were still reeling after our epic journey to the Dallas show that killed my car. On the way home, we drove my PT Cruiser through deep water on I-35. The rain that was coming down was ferocious and the water on the road was just suddenly THERE. The engine kept working and we made it home, but the water had come into the floorboards and created a stink so horrendous and permeating in the Texas heat that I traded the thing in 6 weeks later for a blue violet 4-Runner. Love the 4-Runner.
Memories like this are priceless!! We followed the Dallas show with Houston the next day and my partner and I traveled to Thackerville that Friday for one more show. Then I rounded out my Adam experience with a trip to Pacific coast to see Adam in Puyallup, hang out with good sweet Adam friends and see my sister in Medford OR for a few days.
ADAM!! I need tour dates so I can plan more fun with my friends! Love, a fan

But being in the closet tormented Maher. “It was so exhausting, and I was so miserable,” Maher says. “I didn’t really have any life other than work and this façade I was putting on. So I kept my friends from college [where he was out] separate from my work friends, and that was very confusing. I just kept going on and on painting this picture of somebody I wasn’t. I didn’t have time for a personal relationship anyway. And you just don’t realize that it’s eating away at your soul.”
I just read the Sean Maher article and this paragraph both broke my heart and made me so happy for and proud of Adam for choosing to live his life and repercussions be damned. Someone mentioned the other day about whether he would have come out if not pushed into a corner about it. I think he would have, especially knowing it wasn’t a secret in LA and at any minute the facts of his life for the previous 8 years could be front page news. What an awful way to live your life, especially for someone like Adam.
