Bafta and grammys are on the same night? A question for the ones who were sokd at "mama": is 2018 the first year we have absolutely no new solo original music from Adam? When i came to the fandom in 2015 there was the whole album of course. 2016 we had "welcome to the show" 2017 "two fux" along with "broken" "can't go home" Broken and Can't Go Home are also from 2016. Two Fux was the only song in 2017 and in 2018 we indeed got nothing.... Hopefully an announcement will be ready soon!

I sure wish that Adam, Brian, Roger and Justin Tranter could have gotten together to write/record a rock song for the BoRap movie. With that talent and their names we would probably see them in the running for some of these awards and charting on the radio. Oh well, still glad the movie is killing it this award season. Still hope some opportunity will come along for QAL to do a song for a movie. That's what I have been wishing for a long time now. I know that they see themselves more a of a live band than a recording band, but for me it is kind of a huge wasted opportunity that Adam, Brian & Roger didn't write at least one or two songs. I can't wrap my head around, why they didn't... For Brian and Roger it's probably not worth the effort - they have done it and been there, their music is as popular as ever and they are touring successfully as seniors. Why take a chance with a new song that might not be well received and additionally give the naysayers another reason to trash their collaboration with Adam? (aka "he's no Freddie"). No idea if Adam made an effort at all to collaborate on new music with them, but I think the push would have to come from him primarily. He might also weigh if it is worth taking that "risk" in comparison to just focusing his creative energy toward his own music. Well, those are my thoughts at least...

I'm so glad Adam is the positive brother :D I think the movie is successful due to the power of Queen music and the Freddie nostalgia. I like to look at it as a fan favorite/cult movie with very good casting, especially for the role of Freddie, but I would not give it praise for excellence in movie making. Did I enjoy it? YES!!

PattiHum @pattihum Did you all know that besides streaming it on Spotify, you can also DL the @adamlambert @ledisi track from Wicked on iTunes? ššš» When I log into iTunes here in the Netherlands it shows Adam's song the most popular of the added songs. It is not charting in the Netherlands though. I just bought it on itunes. It's been a while ... itunes.apple.com/us/album/as-long-as-youre-mine-live/1449619162?i=1449620172

Another movie that did horrible at the box office was The Greatest Showman. It even had a worse Rotten Tomatoes critic rating than BoRhap , 56% but audience was 84%. I planned not to watch The Greatest Showman based on the critics ratings, but now that I've seen BoRhap 5 times, I will see The Greatest Showman whenever it becomes rentable. I also starting checking out songs from The Greatest Showman, and found a cover of Never Enough that blew me away. From BoRhap, I've learned that even if a movie is not movie making excellence, you can still enjoy it a lot.

I watched The Greatest Showman the other day on HBO on Demand. I enjoyed it! It was a little cheesy and cliche' but I thought it was interesting learning about PT Barnum. I mostly enjoyed the music.

I saw The Greatest Showman at the movies and found it alright - mostly because of the music. I really like "This Is Me". I do agree with you that not every movie has to be top rated in order to enjoy it, and BoRhap is a perfect example. On the other hand, I have seen 4 star movies that I couldn't stomach haha.

From BoRhap, I've learned that even if a movie is not movie making excellence, you can still enjoy it a lot.And the praise comes from the people who liked it and got something from it that was meaningful to them. If it did not do much or mean much to others that is fine. If it did not tell the story they wanted told or the way they wanted it told that is fine too. But they can't really force others to share their opinions of the movie. I think that is part of the problem with the critics is they came out early and strong against the movie but fans saw other things that they liked or loved about the movie. And the critics have been working overtime to validate their opinions while the public is buying tickets, lol. So the music, word of mouth, Rami's performance and the love of Queen likely all played a part in the success of the movie. I really don't get the annoyance because some enjoyed it more than some others did. I really want Rami to bring home that Oscar. And I will be fine if they pick up a few other awards along the way.

(I realize there are business reasons etc...doesnāt help the frustration though)
