There are definitely some parallels in what Adam experienced with the AMAs and Leisha and Cam's SWA incident. Adam's behavior was deemed not family friendly even though similar actions in guy/girl choreography were unlikely to have caused such an vehemently negative response, and the network in question who then followed by kicking Adam off other booked ABC shows was a network that GLAAD had actively partnered with and was considered by the gay community as gay friendly, so much so that GLAAD actually sided with them against Adam initially.
I have no doubt that Adam would have supported Leisha and Cam vocally no matter what, but I bet hearing firsthand from Cam about the incident and watching the ugly fallout start online must have triggered some memory bells for him.
I see now that SWA is bending over backwards to focus on the immediate angry result of the discrimination in order to spin the story in their favor. Doesn't change the fact that the flight attendant should have never rebuked them for a simple innocent kiss in the first place. Corporate ass covering pisses me off, and I gotta say I don't have a ton of faith that GLAAD will not fold in the face of it.
On the bright side, loving that Adam is playing with his look again. Who knows if he was just having some extra fun because they were going out with Jonte and I think Adam is very inspired by his art, or if there was some secret photoshoot that may bear fruit months from now. Either way, I love to see him creating even if it's just with his hair.

It seems that he's wearing the same leopard pants that he wore at BM. I was wrong, all of you who said back then that they're new you're right.  They seem to be new. Or they're not? Maybe these ones at La Cita are the old ones? The colors are so blurry!!!I want a more clear picture of the pants damn it!!!!  |

Just a thought on the Heidi interview...since she's married to Seal, who has an unusual amount of facial scarring and she adores him...might be encouraging Adam to lay off the heavy pancake makeup! He is known for looking orange and overly made up when we all think he is absolutely gorgeous with his freckles & natural look, little scars & all. Really wish he'd leave his eyebrows natural, they're perfect without the black drawn in look!

Wow! I can't believe it. I just got an e-mail from Pennyroyal Studio telling me I'd won a retired Eye of Horus Pendant in their Peace Pendant contest. I'd ordered a bronze Peace Pendant that's scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but I missed out on the other offerings so I'm very excited(!!!) to receive the Eye of Horus. I never win anything! And definitely never such a special gift. There are still several prizes left in the contest. I didn't read the details before and didn't realize how generous Pennyroyal is being with their rewards. Good thing I'm probably going to be up all night working anyway--so behind on a deadline--because I'm a little too wired to sleep now! |
