I don't get the hate for Heidi's interview here? IDK, I thought they came across as comfortable and playful with each other and I thought Heidi was sweet and friendly and asking casual questions. I certainly didn't read any ill intent in her attitude or questioning and I am wondering if some people are projecting here? Not everyone is out to get/insult/hurt Adam...ikd idk. I'll leave it at that and leave you to your own opinions on the matter.

I'm sure you are right and I'm OK with that pic. But - there are a lot of people thinking like Irish and that's why I think it was perhaps unnecessary to tweet that pic. Here is one example from Adam 24/7 news: " It seems as if he is trying to sabotage himself. Make himself less attractive and more apt to not be thought of as a serious person. No one who loves him cares that he's gay, but the fence sitters look and say "Oh, he's one of those freaky ones." You don't see Ricky Martinez or Clay Aiken or Elton looking less thAN their best." : ??? Well everyone is entitled to their opinions, but to me, whoever said that is a pearl clutcher or a troll. And if it is a legit fan I have to wonder... DO THEY EVEN KNOW WHO THEY STAN? Srsly. He has always been outrageous and wearing crazy stuff and shit. Who gives a flying fuck what the fence sitters say? This was him hanging out at a gay club, looking fierce and doing what he has done for years. If you try to please everyone then you please NO ONE. I am thinking this is a troll. But whatever. As much as I personally like his more toned down looks and like to get all rage-y over his hair, lol, in the end it's his bidness how he chooses to present himself. I don't even know why this is an issue. It was a party pic with some gay dudes and some wacky hair, ya think the famdom would be used to this stuff by now LOL. I’m glad I scrolled down to your response because I was ready to be bitchy again. To me, if you don’t like who Adam is, whoever that is on any given day, then don’t follow him. I’ve groaned a few times with a fashion statement or a hair style, then mumbled, “Adam, what the hell is this?” When the first twitpic of Monday night came out I had to do a few deep breathing exercises then the pictures by the bar showing the whole effect and it took my breath away. The day he starts living his life for others or for record sales is the day we lose our beautiful, free-spirited rock star.

Bringing this over from yesterday's thread to respond...Irish, I saw the pics Adam took are totally fine. Since me and Adam are from the same age group--we are only a few months apart in age really--I can say that this kind of picture posing is totally normal. I can't speak for the gay community, but it's def not uncommon to go out to ANY BAR and take pics and look all wild and crazy. IMO there is nothing wrong or scandalous or disrespectful to Sauli about it. They are just hamming and glamming it up for the camera and trying to look fierce. It's not like they are making out or anything, It's just a pic, and if their crotches seem to be touching--lol--then oh well. My boobs have inadvertently touched other ppl while taking pics, and that don't mean shit haha. . I'm sure you are right and I'm OK with that pic. But - there are a lot of people thinking like Irish and that's why I think it was perhaps unnecessary to tweet that pic. I believe that this doing what he wants, when, where and how he wants is Adam keeping it real. After all that is partially why we stan him. Isn't it?? ETA Chunkey and Aspen are much more elequent than me ITA. ETA2 Get me using ETA correctly lol. :

You don't see Ricky Martinez or Clay Aiken or Elton looking less thAN their best." : ??? That's a very slippery slope to slide down. He is an artist and one of the canvases that he uses is himself. If he starts censoring himself to please the masses he is compromising his art. This is exactly the lesson he is trying to teach us. You cannot live your life constantly worrying about pleasing others. Sure there are times that you must adjust your behavior but this is a night out with his friends that he is sharing with us and he is being true to himself. If we applaud him for being himself and then expect him to censor himself as to not offend then WE are the hypocrites. Conformity is not the key to universal acceptance, we must learn to accept others for who they are and not who we want them to be. True acceptance means that even when he does things we don't like we are able to say "I don't like it but it's his life" and not project our judgements on him. We don't have to like everything he does but who are we to say he shouldn't be doing it. Like it or don't like it is as far as our judgement should go. His fans are the last people who should be asking him to change in order to convince some imagined fence sitters. Let the fence sitters and haters worry about themselves if we start asking him to change then how is that supporting him.

I think the person (obvious troll) whose comment was brought over here was trying to say that Adam would be a lot more appealing to "fence sitters" (ie people who are uncomfortable with gays) if he would only stop insisting on acting and looking gay ( being one of those "freaky ones"). Well NEWS FLASH - that bridge has already been crossed!!!!! Thankfully....

I abhor people being mean or insensitive to others, so maybe I saw that where it was not intended.

Also, maybe if enough super-models tell Adam how fit and good he looks he will eventually believe it!

Wow! I can't believe it. I just got an e-mail from Pennyroyal Studio telling me I'd won a retired Eye of Horus Pendant in their Peace Pendant contest. I'd ordered a bronze Peace Pendant that's scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but I missed out on the other offerings so I'm very excited(!!!) to receive the Eye of Horus. I never win anything! And definitely never such a special gift. There are still several prizes left in the contest. I didn't read the details before and didn't realize how generous Pennyroyal is being with their rewards. Good thing I'm probably going to be up all night working anyway--so behind on a deadline--because I'm a little too wired to sleep now! WOW! Very cool! I'm glad it went to you.
