I wonder what he means by "many lost connections." We will likely never know unless he chooses to open up more about it. But one thing is certain, looking from the outside never gives you a complete insight of someone else's heart and what connects and makes them happy and fulfilled careerwise or personally. If Adam has found that balance then I am so happy for him and look forward to him sharing more when and if he wants. He is a very special man to all of us. So happy for the good things and support that have been coming his way. I look back to Trespassing where he was so in front of the curve and they wouldn't put out his music as the singles. So you have this great connection with someone like Pharrell that's lost because you can't convince your label to use it so will Pharrell work with you again? Or on to Original High and you get stuck in winter all day every day writing with a stable of writers that produce songs but maybe don't really feel them, and they aint your friends. And then this one - did he write/produce more with his peeps? Did he feel more collaboration and maybe just joy in creating. Hmm, until we get an in depth interview, maybe with Lindsey Parker, we'll never know.

twitter.com/outmagazine/status/1098726532988583936Out Magazine @outmagazine "My self-worth was suffering," #AdamLambert wrote. "I was lonely and becoming depressed." out.com/music/2019/2/21/adam-lambert-announces-new-single-emotional-open-letter?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=music … In an emotional message to his fans, Adam Lambert has revealed that he has a new single on the way after coming out of a “dark period," thanking them for their support. Glamberts, you do so much! "Let me offer a most sincere thank you for your patience and continued faith in me," Lambert wrote in an open letter on Twitter. "You've pushed me to keep going even when I felt discouraged. I love making and performing music, but there have been many times where I've had to compromise on my artistic vision, with executives making decisions based on money and not art." Lambert says that while he’s proud of his music, he’s "coming out of a dark period of second-guessing my own artistry and having my mental health suffer because of it." The former American Idol contestant asked himself if it was worth it to focus on his work at the expense of his personal life. “My self-worth was suffering. I was lonely and becoming depressed." But it was touring with Queen that helped the singer put things into perspective. "With a bit of professional help and the support of colleagues, friends and family, I pulled myself out of the darkness," Lambert writes. "I decided to begin my next album on my own so I wouldn't be influenced by anything but my passion for music. I reached out to fellow writers and artists that I'd met over the years and began booking sessions with them. I wanted to make the music I wanted to make, and to get in the headspace I was in when I first dreamed of being a singer-before playing industry game started messing with my love for music." After hiring a new management team and signing with a new label, Lambert is finally ready to release “Feel Something,” the first single from his upcoming album, the name and release date fo which have yet to be announced. "This was written about me climbing out of the low period, defying my disillusionment, owning my needs, and opening my heart," he says, explaining that “the life of a bachelor” — which I assume means being very...sex positive — can be fun, but "after awhile it starts to feel empty. “Between frustrations with my career and many lost connections, I felt numb- and though I wanted to fall in love, I knew I wasn't ready. That's what inspired me to cry out, 'I don't need to feel love, I just wanted to feel something!' It was in this realization that I took my first step toward self-care and nursing my spirit back to health. This song is the emotional starting point of my new album." “Feel Something” will drop Thursday night ahead of Lambert’s performance with Queen at the Academy Awards this Sunday.
