But you did it!!!!! You should be proud of yourself. Life can really kick you in the butt sometimes but if we're able to get through then we are all the more ready to face whatever comes! Haha thanks...i had two heart surgerys so i definitely had trying times before that. I remember one situation that summer were my best friend texted me if i had time. It was Sunday evening and i was packing the car, so i said no, I'm about to leave for university again. I cried on my way there in the car ^^ It seems like quite a few hurdles on your journey haven't stopped you from radiating your positive spirit. Thanks for always sharing your stories and thoughts.

A while ago I was talking to an artist friend who went thru a very dark time recently. I had no idea at the time! It was scary to think we could have lost her. Depression can be a serious condition, and often we don't know what even our close friends and family are dealing with. Part of the condition is to think that others don't want to be bothered with them, or that they aren't worth their loved ones' time and attention. So, it is scary to think of Adam struggling, even tho' it seems inconceivable that such a talented, successful, kind, outgoing, gregarious guy could possibly have reasons to be in a dark place.
It is my observation that there is a higher percentage of artists struggling with depression and bipolar than in the general population. Artistic temperament? The huge pressures to succeed? The constant requirement to prove oneself repeatedly? Every performance or lack of one judged by thousands? Is the brain chemistry of passionate artists different from us "normal" folk? I don't have answers. But my heart ached to hear of my friend's silent struggle, and of Adam's. I have great respect for him clawing his way out and up, and for sharing the struggle with us as he did.
It is a reminder to me to check in with friends and family more frequently and with more loving acceptance.

It hurts my heart knowing that Adam has been going through such pain, but it doesn't surprise me. He is a sensitive soul, and the journey he has been on, can't have been an easy one. I'm so glad he has a loving family and supportive friends---but like all of us, at the end of the day, we are alone and must face our own life story. The lyric about "wanting someone to hold me," from his new song ,reaches to the depths of my being, and I relate to it so much. Can hardly take it in, that this dear man, who gives so much JOY to so many, could ever feel that sense of emotional abandonment. I am touched by his COURAGE to share his vulnerability with the world.I wonder if he could ever know how much he helps all of us with his honesty and light; he shines so bright and I love him so... And to all of you who shared your own life challenges here today, I hope you find some strength in Adam's beautiful words and song. He said it was his gift to all of us -and it gives me comfort knowing that it may be a source of serenity,in the darkest of times. Dear Adam, you are in my heart since I first heard you sing. Now I hold you in my arms that you feel love always

I am getting so excited about the Oscars. Excited, but not worried or anxious. I mean, the boys premiered their first full concert together in front of a quarter million people and a TV audience across Europe. And killed it. They have had the highest profile gigs thruout the years, and I cannot think of one BAD performance. If anyone can handle the pressure of the Oscars and deliver an inspired, high energy, perfect set, it is Brian, Roger, the band and ADAM! They got this!

Hadn't we speculated that he was no longer with Phillymack? Or am I thinking of somebody else? Are they the ones that manage Demi? We did wonder because Phillymack's site is still black. They did manage Demi but I think she left. they do manage Iggy.

Aww thanks everyone... So sweet of you sizzling63! Talking is KEY opening up won't solve the problem but it will ease the pain. Luckily that part was never hard for me, have always been open, was never wired any way differently. Worst thing that can happen is that you inspire people to be more open and honest themselves and make them feel less alone. With all I've been through I'm just thankful for the lesson that I can 1000000 percent count on family and friends and that they are the most important thing. That was the beautiful side of the experience. Some learn it when it's almost too late.

I have been going through some dark times and realizations in the past few months. I’ve been so fortinate to have friends that I could open up to - it’s been a process. I just now got to hear the song for the first time and I’m in tears. So much of it speaks directly to how I am feeling. I’m sensing from our community that this is the same for many of us. The only words I have right now are - Thank You Adam Lambert - you really are a Gift From God.
