Thanks Betty for my delicious birthday cake! I am mostly a lurker but I am on Atop several times a day. It is my one and only Adam site and I appreciate all of you so much! Now that I am retired, I hope to post more frequently. Sadly though, right now I have left my home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to provide end of life care for my younger sister in Ohio. She was recently diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer and has only a short time left. Atop provides me with some moments of pleasure in an otherwise heartbreaking time in my life. And watching/listening to Adam's recent performances over and over, especially the live version of Feel Something, soothes my soul.

I like the comparison of radio and Spotify playlists being a discovery medium. The playlists Spotify provides ready made have a theme like a genre (rock, hip hop, rap etc) or a list for like a barbecue, for under the shower, a 90/80/70 playlist, background dinner music, summer groove with easy relaxing summer vibes, Disney film music etc i think people get the idea. Then there are lists that get played quite often like the 'new music friday' with all the newest music and there it is important to get on.

I remember his early desire to achieve longevity, and I think he is well set up for it. Of course I will continue to cheer for him on his journey, be it new music, appearances, or concerts, but I would hate for Adam to miss out on life while feeling strapped on that treadmill toward even greater successes and ultimate fame. I think it can be toxic. If it happens, that's great, and so far we have no reason to think otherwise. Adam has worked harder than we might be aware of. Is it just me or is Adam beginning to be a "go to" for special live appearance shows? Wicked, Kennedy Center Honors, Elvis, Oscars? I know the Oscars included Queen but seems to me he is building quite a reputation for those special shows. Wasn't Ricky Minor the music director for all of those shows? I wonder if his 2009 American Idol connection to Adam had anything to do with Adam getting a spot on some or all if those shows?

Hopefully the momentum keeps building because we all know he is at his best in live performances.

I doubt Ricky is choosing the talent for these big events. He probably has to work with the talent to ensure a good show but ya never know, lol.

It's smart to choose Adam to sing for events! He's an amazing vocalist, dependable and can sing almost any genre and also does duets beautifully.
