I can't believe how well the Jonas Bros are doing. They are with a major label but that surprise after a long drought seems to work very well, along with radio and tv appearances. The long build up and fanfare to a release does not seem to have the same impact that it once did with things moving so fast now. But these surprise releases with a lot of press (when you have been off the radar with new music for some time) get that much needed additional attention. Too bad that Adam's single (any single) was not ready for a full release with the Oscars. That would have been a great launch. And I think even radio would have been on board, if released to radio, because they have had nothing from him for a long time. Fingers crossed that whatever plans Adam/management/label have will give him a good chance to be heard by more than his fans.

I am seriously wondering how many "bit the dust" when they saw Adam perform "Believe". I still keep reading tweets about it. I've seen some comments on the video from people saying they loved him on Idol but not followed him since and then saw this and started following him again now. I really think this performance and the new live version of his song is drawing some people back who hadn't kept up with him. Lots of people love his crazy high notes etc and find that type of thing impressive but when he does a soulful ballad like these it seems to really connect with people and draw them in more. I haven't seen so much positivity about any song in ages, except for "Feel Something" may be. And I could not agree more that it is NOT the crazy high notes that he connects with, on the contrary it might even throw some people off if he overdoes it. (similar to what my reaction was when I listened to LP concert clips haha). I have insanely high hopes for Adam's news music.

I'm still sort of torn about going to LA for the two QAL shows. I have the tickets but have not planned any hotels or airfare. What if there is a show announced for Adam solo this year?
Are there any folks going to the QAL shows in LA?

As Adam's visibility keeps increasing, I do hope that more and more people will discover his hidden treasures from previous albums. Here's an example...

They were well placed and used in moderation in "Believe" and at the end of "Girl Crush." He was more OTT with them on Idol but I think a lot of complaints were coming from envious fans cause their favorites could not go there or get the attention that he was getting. But i understand why he did it then as you only had a small window of time to impress. Now he can used them when needed and not just because he can. Same with the Queen songs, he only uses them in certain songs but not for every song.

I want to hear more songs like Lilac Wine from Adam. He does such a sexy job on bluesy songs. He can make me cry at the drop of a hat.
