Just jumping in here not having read past page 1. I'm watching Millionaire (game show) and a $2000 question was Which singer's fans are called "hooligans"? A. Akon B. ADAM LAMBERTC. Bruno Mars D. I dont remember who, but it was a BIG name. The contestant didn't know so she asked the audience. The highest percentage of the audience (39%) thought it was Adam. Ha, ha. We have a rep of hooligans. The contestant did not take the audience's advice. I love that he is mentioned with these other stars. LOL... I love this!! Household name, bb, household name!!  ;D |

Not sure if this belong in the X-factor thread or not.
lol, I was laughing and shaking my head while watching X-Factor last night. Simon was debating with Nicole over whether the voice is actually an instrument or not. He was saying that the voice is not an instrument cause u can't go to the store and buy it. Nicole was trying to argue it, but she was doing such a poor job of it. And also I keep hearing how people saying that she can't sing, I always thought that she had a really great voice.

I have met both of them (and their mother) and they are fantastic young men. Aiden is a bit quiter than Liam. Both very well mannered - I was very impressed with them! Their mother is lovely too! Oh I would love this although I realize most some of you wouldn't.   OK, now that I've agreed, what the heck is a torch song???   Are we talkin' Doris Day and Peggy Lee?   Ummmm, not Doris. Peggy, some. Think more Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Sarah Vaughn. Usually jazz/blues ballad, with lyrics about a love lost, an unrequited love, a scorned lover, but can refer to any emotional jazz/blues ballad. Modern torch singers include Norah Jones and Diana Krall.
