Yes, one of them will be rewarded with an RCA recording deal, but the rest hang around for the duration, having their skills honed while dealing with artists like Jennifer Hudson, will.i.am, Adam Lambert and Avril Lavigne." I just watched M&M tonight, No Adam and next week episode had Leona Lewis.... Yep. No Adam, but I watched Majors & Minors tonight and IMO it was awesome. The kids were tackling choreograhphy tonight. Some are good at it and for some it is just not a natural fit. I found myself in tears at the end of the segment. I am enjoying the show. I can't wait to see how Adam fits in. This show is well done.

OMG - I believe on some really slow Sunday afternoon we should have a contest between Gelly and Reihmer to see who can bring up our requested pics the fastest. Doesn't matter who wins - WE will win with all the pics they retrieve!!! This place gets betterer and betterer.... Gelly would beat me hands down.

Yeah watching it right now, and I'm actually looking forward to watching it every where, even apart from wanting to see 2sec clips of Adam. Which I find amusing as well as refreshing, as a lot of the other reality shows, ie DWTS, American Idol, X-Factor, The Voice etc., I watch one episode, maybe 2 and I end up losing interest and end up missing a lot.

What I really detest is people who use the right of Free Speech as an excuse to spew hatred. Just because your right to be an ignorant, hateful mean spirited jerk is protected doesn't mean that people are just going to go on about their day without reacting to it. I see people all the time trying to use the Free Speech laws to protect themselves from criticism over what they have said. The laws just mean you can't get thrown in jail for saying it, not that people have to like or accept it. We are within our rights as well to call these people out and the more that this type of so-called joking is called out as being unacceptable the more things will change. Racism, homophobia and the like may never truly go away completely but just as racism has become publicly unacceptable homophobia will as well IF we consistently call people out for that behavior. It is along the lines of basic operant conditioning in that negative reaction to that type of speech will eventually reduce the occurrence. Changing laws is only part of the battle. The more long lasting part is changing the majority opinion. Polls on gay marriage have shown the progression of the change in public opinion and given that the strongest anti-gay actions are from older generations is a good indication that time will win out in the end. But although this whole twitter incident may seem minor in and of itself these little, seemingly insignificant battles add up to winning the war in the long run. Every time we stand up against this type of behavior we change the world. Don't ever let anyone diminish the importance of that. The Glambert Nation is well on its way to becoming as much of a significant social force as the U2 fandom has been for the last 30 years. It is so easy for people to dismiss fans of musicians but in reality U2 fans have already paved the way and shown how a fan community can have significant social and political impact. Bono's power and influence is significant because his fans have rallied over and over to things he focuses his attention on and THAT is why he has the ear of pretty much every politician in the world. Adam's fans are well on the way to giving Adam similar power and influence. There is substantial evidence in press coverage that the media and the industry pay attention to Adam when he speaks and that is because of US. Own your power as a fan and wield it wisely. Late catching up on the thread. I love this post...and all of the posts on Ryan's blog yesterday. This fandom rocks! And Happy Birthday easty and everyone that I've missed lately!

Hi, erie9 (and catz, too!) I've been voting!!! I checked out the other vids, and yours is definitely THE BEST!! (after all I'm in it ) ...lol Hi guys, I'm not posting much at the moment as a RL nightmare of harrassment, intimidation and bullying by a neighbour has been encompassing me. Am a weepy, nervous wreck right now to be honest, so am lurking and berting quietly along with you all and thank TPTB daily for the haven that is Atop. You guise keep me sane! *BIG mwah's to every last one of you* Things got pretty bad this morning and fianlly one of my 'good' neighbours has laid an official complaint with the Police, but we have to wait till Monday for any action. Hopefully, this will resolve the problem, but I am worried about retaliation. Anyways, it's a long story and I don't want to bring any negativity to the board. So, on the upside, just like you gals are going out for drinkie poo's tonight (have a blast btw ladies ), quite a few of the NZGlitterTribe are 'doing' lunch tomorrow thanks to the unceasing efforts of eri9 who works so hard to keep the NZ fandom on a continual berting roll I'm really looking forward to it and being able to give eri9 a RL {{{HUG}}}. Maybe someone *side eyes eri9 * will be able to take a pic and tweet it to here 8-) so you can see us all in our Adam t-shirts. Eri, how many are going - do you have a final count yet? ETA: to add voting link to #NZGlitterTribe vid.... www.classichits.co.nz/Competitions/CompDetails.aspx?id=26118

Ummmm, not Doris. Peggy, some. Think more Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Sarah Vaughn. Usually jazz/blues ballad, with lyrics about a love lost, an unrequited love, a scorned lover, but can refer to any emotional jazz/blues ballad. Modern torch singers include Norah Jones and Diana Krall. A modern torch song might be "I Can't Make You Love Me", so we know Adam can sing a torch song! Thanks, cassie! Billy Holliday and Ella F I can do... Norah Jones? Not sure... And even tho' Diana Krall is a fellow Canuck, I don't like her singing at all. DNW. When we say "torch song" we are talking about the song itself, not the singer. The jazzy/bluesy/angsty usually musically complex ballad that can tear at your heart. To me, Ella and Billie were able to sing the hell out of this style. Some others, not so much. We already know Adam can wring every bit of emotion out of a song. We have seen that he can sing blues and ballads, and Feeling Good was kinda jazzy. So, combine them all, with his technical ability, and I think it would sound damned good. Having said that, I think this wish falls in the same category with wanting him to sing opera or some of those beautiful Christmas songs. Yeah, that is no not gonna happen. But, I can fantasize.
