Maybe the guy's bosses are going to make him post a real apology. I hope so. Too bad he isn't a brilliant designer ! Then we could go directly to the "moving on" stage and just bypass all this unpleasantness. Or give him the benefit of the doubt, the way we did with Southwest Airlines. Oh wait ... I haven't commented on Galiano or SWA but perhaps folks aren't ready to cut it loose yet because the guy hasn't really apologized. ETA one of my friends on Facebook posted this quote: "Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who you are."

Wow, I just read the comments after that Duggan guy's "apology"! I am so proud of this fandom! I especially loved SusieFierce and Juneau's comments, but I almost hate to single them out because everyone did such a wonderful job of telling his guy who Adam is, who his fans are, and why his so-called apology fell woefully short. Good job, everybody!

Jablea’s choice of videos was wonderful. Music videos mixed with live performances and closing out with IIHY and “what they need in this world is some love.” Brilliant.

Huh, maybe not so conservative after all? krla870am KRLA 870 AM The views expressed by @ryanduggan are not those of @krla870am. We take all concerns seriously & have forward this to the appropriate people Duggan's blog posting is a classic defensive comment. He makes an "apology" to Adam's fans only? Where is His apology directly to Adam for threatening to Kill Him. He should have made His apology directly Adam not to Adam's fans. I always try to skip reading comments under any webpage article about Adam. I've have never made a reply in the comments. I did just now for the first time. The Guy threaten to Kill Adam, that Blog is almost as offensive as that tweet. His blog made Me so mad that for the first time ever I've replied and made a comment. Sorry, late to the party but I keep looking for the apology (first comment) but the website says Page Not Found. Would someone please post the comment and apology? (Did I just miss it somewhere?) ...and Jesslala - you are brilliant! Oops NM. I just saw that it had been deleted.

Instead of deleting his blog and all the comments, a bigger man might have posted, How easy would that have been? :

I had the window open too, got exactly the same posts. Last one at 5:43 am.
We certainly got enough to demonstrate what is happening in 2011 on American airwaves without any awareness whatsoever by this guy that this is totally unacceptable. He is learning only now from the reaction. His radio station overall at least realized...oh shit we have a problem.
To me at this point, it is more reflective of where we are as a society where most average folk think that homophobia in public places has been overcome and the problem only lives on school playgrounds and in remote pockets of society. People are unaware how commonplace and unchallenged such behavior usually is. Because, let's face it, if the Adam fan base would not make a public stink about it, nobody would have said a word. And that is what is really the biggest wrong here. The unawareness that this is hate speech. The public perception that is is ok to mock homosexuals and make 'jokes'.
Eventually, somebody will ask, were there hurdles that Adam had to overcome, being the first... It will be messages like these that will document why it was so difficult to break through. And why music executives still believe (and the sad news is that I think that they are right) that in general a gay artist cannot break through as a rock/pop star, if he is open. And even with idol as a starting platform to overcome that, I still feel like Adam has to wade in knee-high water, when others next to him can walk freely. But that is why he was given an energetic, eloquent, determined fan base to push forward on his behalf.
Btw, the reason this guy stumbled upon Adam in the first place was because of #FF. It may be a very important signal to get him back to the front of that list this Friday again. This Ryan guy is not going to get Adam down, no matter how much ill-wishes he sends his way. See instructions on page 1, if you have a twitter account. Perhaps we can eventually weed these haters out, the word may get around among DJs that such 'jokes' can put a serious dent on your career.
Finally, one question, did anybody log it with the FCC?

I read the blog shortly after it was posted but I hadn't seen the comments. So I could kiss your feet in gratitude Jablea! What beautifully written comments by everyone. I wish there were some way that Adam could see them.
I can't imagine why his blog and the comments were deleted. That just adds more ugliness & cowardice to his actions.

I so agree. And it's no wonder that many fans overreact to the hate that's directed his way. Sometimes it's just too much to handle. This time, thankfully, there was no overreaction. Just thoughtful, beautiful posts. Perhaps that's the reason he deleted?
