Wonder what Shosh meant about the TOH video not being right...maybe that was before they decided on GT for the first single? They filmed this video in January 2016. Ghost Town was out in April 2015. I don't think it had anything to do with Ghost Town being the first single. Thanks for answering; I must admit I never keep track of the dates of the singles, much less when pics or anything else comes out. Thank you for keeping track for us. I'm lucky if I remember my birthday is coming up lol.

Maybe they were debating between TOH and ALN (altho I don't know when it came out either)...or maybe TOH was a possible third single that never happened.

It's a good thing I'm not in charge of picking singles lol...liked ALN much, much better than TOH. I also thought GT was a booooring song. I did, however, like the TOH demo much better than the version that ended up on the album.
Favorite song on the album? There I Said It....by several miles.
Probably why I haven't listened to the radio in more than a decade.

skaschep: @pattihum @14gelly @sepiassecret Sadly 'we' as a fandom also chose ALN. It got streamed and viewed the most from all the songs. Even though TOH was catching up already in streams when it was chosen.

But why is that sad that the fandom liked and streamed ALN more? We like what we like, and trying to predict a "hit" song is like a crap shoot. Some of the songs played on the radio are only played, I'm sure, because they're by a specific singer, not because they're so wonderful and so popular.
It's all a game.

Probably why I haven't listened to the radio in more than a decade. TISI was my favorite as well. But the funny thing is, I also adored "Heavy Fire" but I don't think I have heard anyone say anything about it even once. HA! TOH was better with the original version. I liked GT just fine but they really did not use much of what makes Adam so special. I remember Adam saying that was MM's idea. I sure wish Rob Cavallo had still been in charge when Adam landed at Warner. He knew how special Adam was and had said so when he worked with him in the past (he produced Music Again, Soaked, TFM and Sure Fire Winners on Adam's first album) before he got the top spot at Warner. I think he would have worked hard for him. But Strange took over as head of Warner around the time they signed Adam, I guess. Then he was out. Seems Adam's fortunes/timing are always off. When Barry Weiss (who had been in his corner) left as label head at RCA, everything went down hill for Adam. ETA: It was not only fans who streamed ALN and I liked the song too. Some fans always told me I should like Cukoo but it didn't do much for me. People always think that what they like would have carried the day, lol. Nope. Is is not that easy or simple. It normally depends on US radio giving it massive play. They can spin almost anything into a hit if they want. They do it all the time for favored artists.

I love ALN a lot and I am not sorry it was a single. I loved the video, too. BUT, the title track, TOH, is a tremendous song and SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SINGLE. We all assumed it would be and we kept asking. Not quite sure what happened. They had the video in the works and everything. TOH would have been a very big single, IMO. Another mystery that has yet to be solved.
