I just popped in and saw all of the hub bub about Javi and social media. Javi is young and social media savvy. He also has a degree in business and apparently graduated with honors. Any business program would have required marketing and advertising and probably focused on the effects of the consumer and social media. I'm actually giving him credit for what he is doing. From what I can see, he is interacting with the younger fan base and that is good. Don't assume it's Javi's ego in question; it may well be him testing the marketing waters.

Adam has been single for 5 years. He said he was often lonely and wanted someone special in his life. Some fans wanted him to settle on their choice for him. That was not what Adam wanted or needed. Only Adam would know what he needed and wanted in a serious relationship. Adam and Javi have found one another and are in love. Taking the step to have someone live with you (someone who clearly had a nice place of his own and was not in need) is a big step. Adam seems serious about him. Javi seems serious about Adam. So happy for them. But we should understand that it is up to those two to make it work. We don't have a say in Adam's choice of a boyfriend. And they seem so happy together, that I think most fans want it to work out and are thrilled for Adam. I may be out of the loop, but is it just an assumption that they are living together or is it based on some factual information that I'm not aware of?

Lol is bang on ! ...š...glad we are here for the right reasons! Appreciate your levity bringing me, who still fans Adam, and this fansite back to smoother sailing. Hopefully just another month and we'll be way too busy going gaga over a new single to worry about inconsequential things. You know I was thinking, as somebody posted about a new single already for the Jonas Bros., I could get used to a new song from Adam every month or two. Wouldn't that be amazing? I bet he has so many songs recorded or written that have never seen the light of day, he could keep us happy for the next year or two at least. In between concert tours with Queen. Hm, we'll have to plant that bug in his ear during the next twitter party. Agree, š¤š¤š¤hoping for soonish to go gaga over the single. Wouldn't that be awesome re song releases to keep us excited and energized. YET--I too have wondered why not. The only thing that springs to mind is that the songs that appear on an album are the ones he is most proud of, and polished enough, that he wants those to be the gems for any releases or inclusion in a tour set list. He has thrown out a few "extras" ie Welcome to the Show, and the other one he debuted on Idol. He cannot throw out the gems he has chosen--- the ones already chosen for an album/already purchased by fans, as his released singles are from that grouping and now a calculated maneouver on his part/ his Indie label.

Whew! Go away for a day, and..... I agree with MeggyMeg that there are some sweeping and hasty generalizations, some begging the questions, and some either/or fallacies. What is certain is that this topic has touched quite a nerve. Was it like this when Sauli came into the picture? Javi, like many young people, thinks nothing about posting whenever he feels the urge. I was in a room with my twin nieces, their 14 year old brother, and two of their friends. They kept taking selfies, group shots, pictures of their dinner, etc.... I kept saying to leave me out. I have always detested having my photo taken. Finally, one of my nieces looked at me with something akin to anxiety and said, āAunt āā-, you have to be in a couple of pictures.ā I asked why, and she said āTo prove that you were really here.ā
While none of what follows is particularly novelāand there are some excellent articles from credible sources online about the extended family and its functions,āI got to thinking about her statement and that made me think how the dispersion of extended, and often nuclear families, has accelerated at warp speed due to ever-growing technologies, etc...and the need to follow the jobs. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a very large extended family on my motherās side. As such, we were witness to many things in each otherās lives. We are the keeperās of each otherās memories and tell stories about the mischief, the traditions, even the stories passed down from our mothers and fathers of their grandmothers, and grandfathers and so on. We know that some of us break out in what was called prickly heat and that Grandfather Philips did, too. We shared very sad things too. We were witness: we can prove that we were there. Sadly, we are now having to follow the need of going where the jobs are. We are the last generation of our family who used to live within about a 40 mile radius of each other. And though we try with our children, there is a drifting that cannot be stopped. Thus, they feel a need to share pictures of their lunches, individual or group selfies, etc...and people can access them on social media should they wish to post them.
And this is just a new and growing trend, as we all know. I guess Javi is just going with the flow there, and although he might/might not have a private account, he is a long way from his family and his friends, even though he is no doubt making new ones frequently. And I imagine that an āI was thereā opportunity with Adam would be special for so many reasons. Just musings.....
However, I will unapologetically say that I hope too many pictures like just Javi by the pool donāt become the norm. Like someone said: itās new and doesnāt bother me yet but also like someone else said that they had seen more of Javiās chest than they had their own husbandās (oh well!)
Guess I missed out on being one of the ābestā posters since I didnāt leave, but I learn a lot from this forum. At least I am sitting here typing this with my brand-new 8 week old Mastiff puppy studiously trying to catch my fingers as I try to write words that make sense. So between that and my vision problems, there is no telling what this looks like. Please forgive!
On a lighter note, I have never had a pup for 3 days without its having a name; I want to name him Flash because he is so jaunty and flashy when he trots, and that is one of my favorite Queen songs. My husband doesnāt like it. Itās okay if you donāt, but does anybody have a suggestion for a name that preferably has something to do with Queen or Adam? Not their actual names in real life, though. Or if you like Flash, maybe you could say you agree with me. But only agree with the name Flash if you really do! This āname a puppyā could be like a little game and obviously, just add some levity.
He is a fawn English mastiff, and from all my years with the breed, he will top out at right around 200 pounds. He will be both a therapy dog and a show dog.

Lol, something I had to get used to once I started participating on fan boards, was the tendency to go from Point A from one poster to Point Z from another poster only 3 posts later...with lots of assumptions and leaps in between. It always confused me because I had a hard time following and it tended to derail conversations quickly.
As for Sauli, I was on another board at that time, but yes, there was some very, very vocal opposition to poor Sauli...some of it only because some posters were convinced that Adam and Tommy were really in love and apparently Sauli got in the way lol.
Wow, congrats on your puppy, Phronni....I don't envy you the food bills lol. My hubby is a behavioral dog trainer and has a client with a mastiff/boxer mix, well over 100 lbs. He loves that dog.

At 200 pounds, I would think he could go with "Thunder" as a name (Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening).
My children who range in age from 30 to 35 don't post pictures nearly as much as they used to on social media. My oldest daughter uses shutterfly to create private pictures of her baby that only invitees can see, but as a media literacy specialist for children, she also judiciously uses twitter and instagram to publicize her research.
I'm one of those people who "eavesdrop" on people I follow on Insta and twitter, and rarely post. I have no clue what algorithm brings me "friend" requests from random men with no apparent connection/relevancy to any of my interests. Very weird, but "block" is a friend.
I don't mind Javi's postings. I assume that he is sharing with his family and friends, and is aware how many of Adam's fans started following him. My husband, on the other hand, while an Adam fan and accompanying escort on multiple AL and Qal concerts, has advised that he is not at all interested in looking at Javi or Javi+Adam posts. That crosses husband's line on knowing anything about Adam's private life.

There are days when I am just happy that I don't really give a flying fig about stuff I know nothing about, and Javi qualifies. The good news, I also don't need to know. Same with house, same with decor, calendar, etc .... Reading pretty much diagonally these days. If Adam's happy, I'm just fine and don't have further questions. Probably missed something on these threads by doing that, but somehow I just can't.... Wishing Adam and Javi well. That's all I got.

Well, I must admit, now that I'm not working anymore, I pretty much read every single post...even some of the things that I have a hard time understanding. I'm always afraid of missing something important. Plus, after all the times I had to skim because I was at work (don't tell anybody) it's kind of nice now to have the time to read everything.
I also enjoy reading about what posters are up to. It keeps me company during the day.

The poster of the second Instagram, does the Marketing for JMM. There is a cute appreciative conversation between her and Javi during the photo shoot time. She was the person who asked him to assist at the shoot. ( check it out -- their posts were under the post which showed Javi in a white t- shirt)
