Maybe because it framed it differently for you, and gave it a wider and legitimate context. I think many Americans thought, because of the backlash, that it was wrong of Adam to do that, when really it wasn't. The American media's reaction was wrong. That's exactly the right thing for an artist to do - be a rebel, be himself, and broaden the viewers concepts and horizons. Yep. I didn't think what he did was wrong but the backlash was horrifying. I was writing letters and emails in support and that was something I had never done. And just seeing it revisited was hurtful, at least for me. But he was a newbie and you don't change what was agreed to for presentation by the network. And they used that to justify their OTT actions against him, when we know what they were really upset about. But Adam come out on the other end and all is well. I still think it hurt him in the US. But it allowed others to walk in and reap the benefits of his bravery. They looked absolutely innocent by comparison. So maybe it was a good thing that someone carried the torch who could handle all the pressure that followed. The backlash was more than my heart could handle - I was up all night after that performance and I too wrote that letter. Yes, Adam is a trailblazer which is a tough position to be in at times for himself and those who care.

Cool! Now that we know that Javi watched the documentary last night, I can only imagine how it must have been quite a significant and educational experience for him.

Thank you to everyone for all the links to everything and all the info, I appreciate everyone’s hard work! This has been an amazing couple of days for Adam fans, and I’m am SOOOOO thrilled to have tickets for one of this summer’s QAL shows. I feel bad for all those who might have watched Idol and then the documentary, and thought they might be able to get tickets somewhere ... anywhere!
ETA: Yes, you are right, MeggyMeg, there are always the ticket brokers. My gosh they are sooooo expensive too!

They still can, the tickets are just basically triple the face value on resale market though.
I've been monitoring the second hand retailers and the prices spiked after the Oscars, expecting another spike in the next few days.

Yep. That is a problem. We got great seats but paid a lot for them. Now there is one other person, who comes along last minute, and wants to go with us. Sh**y seats are going for 3 or 4 times as much. So we are going to try to wait for later to see if something changes but I think they are out of luck.
