No Adam mention, but interesting. GlamPimpLinda Linda Hays Catchiest Song Scientifically Proven yhoo.it/nY2kiw via @yahoonews @adamlambert interesting 20 minutes ago "Scientists have figured out what makes a song a smash hit." Adam satisfies #3 (male voice) and #4 (higher male voices making vocal effort). So he only needs the right song

GlamPimpLinda Linda Hays Catchiest Song Scientifically Proven yhoo.it/nY2kiw via @yahoonews @adamlambert interesting 20 minutes ago "Scientists have figured out what makes a song a smash hit." I enjoyed that! According to British researchers at the University of London, the 4 key elements, or x-factors, for a catchy song are ( ETA: or what makes us sing along to some songs more than others): 1. Long and detailed musical phrases 2. Multi-pitch changes in a song's "hook" 3. Male vocalists 4. Higher male voices making a noticeable vocal effort Paraphrasing video: Songs making the list of most sing-a-longable songs were "Final Countdown" and the theme from Baywatch, "I'm always Here." The #2 catchiest song is often acted out as much as it's belted out; coming in at #2 is "YMCA." #1 is "We Are The Champions."

I have a question wrt the fanwarvotingthingy... is there a way to check who's in the lead? I don't think so, you can kinda tell when adam is getting more votes per day then the day before, (the bottom graph here www.omusicawards.com/vote/fan-army-ftw/adam-lambert)but not really how that compares to the other artists. Based on the superfans www.omusicawards.com/super-fans Tokio Hotel started out clearly in the lead, but if a lot of adam fans vote, even if they aren't reaching the same high point numbers we might catch up.

Speaking of the mystery of catchy songs. This is a hilarious article from LA Weekly about why "Moves Like Jagger" is "appealing, despite it being a shitty song." blogs.laweekly.com/westcoastsound/2011/10/tktktk_why_this_song_sucks_mar.phpMind you, "Moves Like Jagger" was produced by Benny Blanco, so all of this can go to create the ear-wormiest of ear worm songs for Adam, which can equal S*M*A*S*H!!!!!(Please oh please!!) BTW, the writer doesn't mention Benny, but bags on Maroon 5 and Adam Levine a bit.

For those doing this who are at level 4 or 5 where you get a lot of votes before maxing out, in a fit of extreme boredom I checked out the competition and ninja'd this technique. When you are at the "vote" button, c lick it 2 or 3 times rapidly, not just once. You will see your points rise quickly, then click on "vote again" and repeat the process. It doesn't give you more than your daily allotted votes/points but for me it cut in half the time it took to vote daily. didn;t work for me I am level 3 now... also - where do you write in the name for the "Must Follow Artist"? I see no place to do so at the linked page ???
