leegallagherandthehallelujah @adamlambert currently sings lead for Queen. It was fascinating to hear his stories of singing Freddie Mercury’s lyrics in front of 90,000 people in South America while Brian May’s riffs were flying straight through his face 💀💥💥💥 he was rightfully so, humbled by the experience. ✌🏼🌈✌🏼 #rock
Ticketek New Zealand @ticketek_NZ This is real life, this isn’t fantasy! 👑 @queenwillrock + @adamlambert are heading to Wellington on Feb 5th and we still have tickets available! It doesn’t get much better than this!
I haven't yet thanked the person (cen?) who posted that download link for the documentary, so I'll do it now
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
This is why I love Adamtopia so much. Whenever anything Adam-related happens I come here and check if there are videos and downloads available and it means a lot to me because I'm not in the US, and I also travel often, so I tend to miss live or scheduled things more often than not (although, I do remember that 2014 NA Tour when I stayed up late, or woke up early, to watch videos as soon as they came out, and virtually followed the tour thanks to Adamtopia threads).
Having watched the documentary now several times, I feel like there is a lot of stuff to digest. Most of it I already knew about, but still, there were plenty of gems and how it was all framed that it felt new and it definitely held my interest every time. I didn't know much about Queen post Freddie and pre Adam, so I was glad to see the dots connected there, even if just through looking back on a couple of key events. I nearly jumped out of my seat when I realised that it was Anastacia singing at the end of their Cape Town Nelson Mandela benefit. I remember years ago posting here about Anastacia in the thread "other musicians we like" and saying how I thought she would be a great duet partner for Adam because she has that powerful voice. And I think I also wrote about how I never realised she wasn't a huge star in the US, because my perception of her here in Europe was that she was up there as one of the best singers. But that just goes to show how fickle and unpredictable music business can be. An amazing and unique voice from the US like Anastacia had to find a European fan base for some reason because her own country couldn't recognise and celebrate her properly. I don't know. Anyway, going back to the documentary, the only criticism I can find is that the whole "kiss" thing wasn't really framed in terms of what truly happened - people reacting to it in a homophobic way - but I guess the fact that they aired it without blurring it was supposed to stand in the place of an apology! And there was only one woman, Lyndsey (well two-there was Leila, but she is his mom, so ...)--everyone else interviewed was male. They couldn't find one female radio host or singer instead of one of those 4-5 men who I don't even know to talk about the impact of Queen and Adam Lambert?... Still a man's world... sigh...
Other than that though, I really loved the documentary, and I'll be watching it again!

Check @adamlambert's @itunes stats 48 hours after the airing of #TheShowMustGoOn! Still doing very nice in the US, but also some other countries joined in. 🎉 Normally the countries mentioned with #GhostTown don't show up as they are small, but GT still sells! #QueenxAdamLambert

nannygoat: Just heard this parody of Bohemian Rhapsody. Thought everyone would enjoy it. Amazes me how people can be so creative. ow.ly/p9ZH30niDPS and did I mention how much I am enjoying all the 'goodies' we got lately? "Feel Something" is gorgeous.

atomom: Adam's artistry is in full display: the surprise of hiccuppy gasps right before "new eyes", the sensuous tongue, one-two punch of "damn" smile, head thrown back, body drops to heavy guitar beats, a lusciously looking Adam--all make NE a visual/aural feast.
