I'm back... Can this forum be happy for Adam and for us.. He is on the verge of being recognized for his creativity around the world. He has left two record deals to be free and now some fans continue to tell him what to do ,how to look and how to create... so sad. If you don't like him, don't like what he produces don't watch, buy ,etc. but do a couple of folks have to ruin it for the rest ,who love what he is doing...just saying. Can this be a moment of rejoicing. I did take two advil.. thinking about the valium.. Negativity just does me in.. discussion is good ,but beating a dead horse is not. I am rejoicingš Can I share with you a part of the song I just LOVE? Itās the way two times he sings the word āeyesā (in the mv, one time is when he has hand on his hip), and there is something so rich and full and moving and beautiful about it - do you know what I mean? Thereās something different about the way he sounds to me then compared to the rest of song that is magic.

I totally agree with melliemom....I have never seen a song or video picked apart like this in my life, especially by people who love and have followed Adam for years. It's insane. I can understand people who can't stand him going on like this about drugs, no drugs, maybe drugs. Drugs on the tongue, LSD...WHATEVER! It's a 70's throwback love-fest with a lot of thought thrown in for good luck. Adam is living the dream. This is all MY OPINION of course. You can agree to disagree with me. I will now go back to regularly scheduled programming.

AFL is NEVER boring and he loves to make us go beyond our comfort zone and THINK about and DISCUSS his concepts. Adam is pushing the envelope like Bowie and Prince. ILHSFM!!ššā

I saw those comparison comments so checked out Arctic Monkeys and Niall, but really didn't see why they thought it was similar other than maybe the mid-tempo? Or maybe I'm missing something.. It's like some commenters were saying Adam looked like some guy just because of a vaguely similar haircut and facial hair when there was no similarity otherwise. Would be so refreshing if everyone could experience the song with New Eyes and no preconceptions or expectations.. I also saw comparisons to Australian indie rock band Tame Impala. They are very hot currently - performed at Coachella. Funny I discovered Tame Impala through one of Adam's instagram stories and bought one of their songs.. really love the vibe.

I am loving the positive reviews for Adam's "New Eyes." The more I listen to the song, the more I love it. Ne and FS are a departure but they could not have come at a better time. With so much focus on his frontman duties for Queen, his new music fits with his status. Everything seems to be coming together for him personally and professionally. So happy for him. Now bring on the Idol performance.

My perspective on this is a bit specific as I work in PR in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) industry that spent YEARS trying to break the association with drugs and the negative aspects of the rave culture. There are clear guidelines for our artists not to use any, even very loose, substance references on social media, videos, and public appearances, that includes pot that's legal in a number of states and provinces. And I dodn't doubt that all of them still manage to get their creative message across, or at least no one has complained. But then there was one producer who was like: "you guys can suck it" and made a track titled "Molly". LOL Fortunately he's not with my agency so we didn't have to personally deal with the fallout but the industry as a whole was not amused. We also tell out clients to never ever engage with Negative Nancys on social media. What it does, is make you look a) petty b) defensive. I always say, if you feel like answering to a hater, answer to 3 fans/positive messages instead, don't validate/reward negativity. For that reason, I hate it when Adam gets sassy in comments. Also, I don't get this whole "I do what I want" attitude/comments because it has the potential to come off as cocky and dismissive which, as some of the fan comments in the last 24 hours show, has happened here. Don't approach the masses as sheep, take them for granted and act like "you don't care" or roll your eyes when someone doesn't understands your slang. Not a good look AT ALL. See... to me this PC-inspired-direction dictated or suggested to your artists is exactly what Adam decided to leave behind... idk who is right and who is wrong here, obviously there are several sides to the same ātruthā... The other important misconception IMO is that some see a drug reference in the MV where it is clearly NOT the case. (I remember similar discussions re TOH, and what he was referring to)... it is so misleading to assume that only drugs bring happiness, joy, light, etc... The MV is clearly talking about different muses and he explains that to him it is LOVE. So, why are we playing to the lowest denominator here and talking hallucinogenic drugs (or any other kinds)? The song is a love song, it is inspirational, it is catchy, it is deep... love it! Drugs come to mind only based on assumptions, but why not think bigger.. I think LOVE too.
