The video has already more than 1.286.000 views by now. It gained like 300k in 4 hours this afternoon, but now 71k in 6 hours. That's why I'm saying it's back to normal. It almost looked like some big person shared the video this afternoon, but I wasn't able to find out who or where. I can't find anything in the way of a share.
ETA: And nothing in the comments that indicates any common source (like Taylor Swift comments from her post).
I would love to know what caused that. Timing makes it seem like it was from Europe?

NE seems like a better fit for SNL than anything he has done in the past. But not happening this season. Tonight’s new episode of Saturday Night Live is also the season finale. Ratings last week (BTS performed) were not good.
I would like to see Adam on LN/Colbert or James Cordon. Their ratings are not as high as SNL but they both have good online buzz.
TV ratings in the US are so low, that not much moves the needle for musicians anymore. It is more a matter of being lots of places.
Yep. I figured SNL was about to end for the season but there will be a new season and he will have a new album out. So I am going to still hope for a performance, tho, not exactly expecting one. And of course, I hope for Corden and any other shows he can get on. There can never be too many hopes and wishes, lol. Do we know when Adam is heading to the UK and Germany? i hope he’ll be doing more than GMAs while in NYC ... (BTS did Colbert and GMAs within the same 24 hours, not that the popularity can be compared...). these talk shows are filmed in NYC: Colbert, Fallon, The View, Seth Myers, Kelly and Ryan, Rachel, The Today Show(NBC), GMA, CBS This Morning, Andy Cohen, The Daily Show...probably more...idk if all have musical guests... These are the LA based talk shows: Conan, Kimmel, Ellen, Carson Daly, Chelsea Lately

I would love to know what caused that. Timing makes it seem like it was from Europe? Europe or maybe Asia or Australia? We don’t know how the collecting-the-stats-servers update the database that feeds the display count. It could be as simple as some kind of update hiccup....

I would love to know what caused that. Timing makes it seem like it was from Europe? Europe or maybe Asia or Australia? It is odd -- all that I am sure of, is it did not come from normal viewing in the Americas. Timing is off.
The spike was not accompanied by a spike in comments or likes or subscribers. There is no spike in Google Searches. Just a big increase in YT views.
My bet remains that YT is adjusting the current count to adjust for low-quality views and that there were a lot of them in that spike.
