Someone asked about backing tracks. Yes, he is using them on NE. His falsetto has always been weak, and he backs it up with additional voice tracks to make it sound fuller. Cassie is not happy. Oh I thought he said it was just instruments and no tracks or something like that.. Yes, he has talked about the emphasis on live instruments. However, if you listen to NE live, the chorus has more than one voice singing the melody. Since no one else on stage is singing, it has to be a backing track.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using backing tracks at a performance like this while still singing live. He does not have a huge production so filling the sound up is necessary. After all, we know he can sing!
