Thinking about Sauli's new blog. Sauli has more friends coming over from Finland. Good for him, he obviously misses his friends, misses being able to speak Finnish and being able to share his experiences being in Hollywood and being in the US. It's a funny thing being a Finn. When you are abroad you start to miss Finland and Finnish language pretty soon. At least it's what happened to me several times I've been abroad. Finnish culture is something that sometimes is hard to understand for non-finns. We are kind of crazy in a way (generalizations here). But I suppose it's the same for Greeks, Italians and so forth. You miss your own kind of people to be able to share your experiences with .... What I'm trying to say here is that even though everything is fine and you are having a wonderful time, you still miss something from your home country. I agree. My parents immigrated to the U.S. with me when they were Sauli's age, and no matter how many friends they made, no matter how much time passed, if any opportunity presented itself to speak their native language and interact with people from "the old country" they were so eager to do so! Doesn't mean that they weren't happy here or that they regretted leaving home, but there was always a piece of themselves that they coudn't really express except with those who were from their native land. Totally hear this...I lived in Norway for almost a year after college. Had to learn the language 'on the cuff' and could converse and understand well enough. But any language has so many of its own nuances, slang, and multiple word meanings. When I would find an American, I would rush over to get my 'fix'. Not a pretty sight, but necessary..  BTW..I loved my Norwegian experience..such fun-loving and gracious people.  |

Adam looks SOOOOO young with this haircut, OMG I love it!!!
I think it's PERFECT for the new era! He knows he needs to look young for the young audience!

I swear. Adam must look around-- "Hmmm... open shirt, bare chest, open shirt, low neckline.... yep. Time to button up and throw on another layer." #OppositeMan I have never understood all of Adam's layers & the thrill of sweating. I have spent too much of my life first carrying my own private little furnaces (babies) and with messed up hormonal hot flashes.   |
