I've always been one who can "wait" with anticipation for the big events in my life. It's difficult, but I want to be totally surprised at my first show. After that one, I'll watch the videos like crazy before my next show. Just a different perspective, and everyone enjoys their experiences in different ways.
I was the one who originally asked the question so thanks to everyone who shared their approaches.
I think I'm going to stay unspoiled for my first show and then catch up on all the videos from all the prior concerts and follow the ones remaining live as much as possible.
I'm doing the Stage VIP thing this time so I want it all to be an "experience" first and foremost, with everything that comes with it feeling new and fresh.

FYI: the increase of views for #CominInHot 🔥 (Official video) by @adamlambert which started on Monday was happening globally in every country I've checked so far. Either YT was behind on views and caught up (CIH was not in his stats on Sunday) or some global promo was happening Thanks, skaschep! May be the Instagram promo was/is global... had CIH several times yesterday... nothing yet today

Oh MeggyMeg....if that was me...I would soooo watch vids first as your view is going to so unique and special...if you knew what it looked like from the front, you could then tie it to the smoke and mirrors from behind....that would be so exciting. But, on reflection...I suppose that holds true in reverse as well...hmmmm. I will never have the funds to sit on stage but it will be a totally amazing experience, I am sure. My daughter will be at that show...she is very excited! Have a blast.....

It’s a tricky one - whether to peek at videos before attending a live show. In the main though, I think that if were attending one show only, I would definitely want to see videos first.
So much is going on, on that stage, and the show whizzes past so quickly; I’ve sometimes felt I’ve even missed whole songs, when thinking about it afterwards! I think it’s good to have a heads-up, to have an idea of the things to look out for and when to concentrate on something that will be particularly great. Somehow it can give extra focus rather than always wondering what is coming next. However - if I had multiple shows, then a first with ‘new eyes’ could be a wonderful intro to the continuing tour - and also, give an insight into what the more casual audience with one-show with no previous impressions, would experience. Anyway....however many shows, videos or no videos, you’ll be blessed. Enjoy! I am seeing none.... waiting patiently for the UK.

I didn't get tickets when they came out but I'm hoping to go if I can find tickets. Does anyone remember the name of the site to look for tickets that Brian May endorses and recommends? Thanks glamily Yes its twickets.com - I followed them on twitter, they post all their tickets there, and I set up an alert for QAL. I have also been checking @adamtickets but none have come up for the show I was looking for (New Orleans) so I finally succumbed to stub hub for 1 very expensive seat in a back section grrrr. But I do have another show with VIP first. I am so very lucky to get to go to 2 shows, but I am still sad because I was at the opening show the last 2 North American tours which is so very exciting but I couldn't do that this time. woe is me.

While theoretically I would like the show to be fresh and exciting when I go to San Jose, I know that I will not be able to tear myself away from the internet on the opening night of QAL, so not gonna even try lol!

No way I could wait for my show August 9th in Chicago. I will be viewing everything until then. Anxious to see the new set up!

I can't wait for the new set, loved the opening of the last tour so much...and was weirdly fond of Frank I can't even imagine how they'll top Frank's opening from last time, but I'm sure they'll find a way to up the ante. The lights and lasers from last tour were just spectacular.

Loved sitting by you in PHX last tour. We were the front row! lol I doubt I'll ever have that good of a seat or up close perspective again. I'll be watching whatever periscope or pics or little vids available for the first show this tour. I have zero patience. I want to see the set design and the outfits and the hair.....and of course the setlist. I'll then watch each and every show thereafter up until my first show in Nashville. Gonna be center end of thrust for that one. Fingers crossed they do several songs on the Bstage. Seeing it beforehand has never lessened my excitement of seeing it live. It helps me to know what happens when and where and to be alert for my favorite parts. Glad you got a ticket to New Orleans!
