I must say that the last conversation on yesterday's thread was quite a downer. I know we loyal fans are streaming, viewing, etc. all we can. We all have real lives, too. Adam's fans are so loyal. There just aren't enough of us. Growing the fan base is a real uphill battle.
Thanks for posting the "platforms" link. Very interesting.
We all want a solo tour. So does Adam. Keep streaming.

Let me clear some of that up. I know for a fact that most of the regular posters here are doing the things they can and are streaming. We have been discussing how and what you can do a lot of times already and I am pretty sure most of us are doing whatever their situation permits them. It shouldn't be a burden to stream and it's definitely not necessary to do this 24/7 if you don't want to or can't. Doing it a few times daily or at least once a week helps already. Every bit helps and if you stream at least a couple of times per month you are counted in his monthly listeners on Spotify which is valued pretty high. Adam's listeners to follower ratio is pretty good there. There are however also quite some fans (on twitter for instance) who don't understand why this is important. They don't want to be told what to do and are sometimes very stubborn. Some of those fans are also the ones complaining about how bad Adam is doing sadly. Adam's fan base is indeed not big enough at the moment and his team is working hard on increasing that and when he does those high profile things he does get new followers and new people streaming his songs. But I also think Adam's fan base is bigger than the numbers represent and that is what bothers me sometimes. That's why I keep trying to encourage people to stream and view so that together we can do better!

Just my thoughts and I agree he does need more followers. f I had to make a guess at why Adam isn't as successful as a solo artist as some I'd say it's that he's too nice, he doesn't have that killer instinct of walking over people to get where he want's and using people to further his career and he's always promoting other people even when very few return the favour. The very thing we all love so much about him is likely one of the things that holds him back somewhat from major success but with that said he's had so many full circle moments and weird things that just happened (like choosing to go on Idol and sing Bo Rhap and ending up singing with Queen) that I honestly believe it's a timing thing and that it will happen for him when the time's right. I really believe his work ethic and just being that type of person he is will be the thing that works for him in the end so I'm not gonna stress over things, he's very successful in lots of ways and he has a lot of credibility for his talent so I believe it's just a matter of time. It is frustrating when he doesn't get the success we think he deserves but he's having a way better career than a lot of people (partly down to the QAL collab) and in ten years he's gone from appearing on Idol to touring the world several times with Queen, being asked to appear on high profile events and the voice of a major character in a movie etc. A lot of people on those shows just disappear, Adam's liked and respected in the industry from what I can tell and that will go a long way when the QAL thing eventually ends and he has more time to devote to solo projects.

Have to say I miss the good old days when listening to music was a joy, and not a chore and a full-time job.

Have to say I miss the good old days when listening to music was a joy, and not a chore and a full-time job. It's not a full time job and I've given you plenty of options how to do it on your own terms. But I'm afraid that the fans of all the other artists on the top are doing everything they can to get their artists on the top. Which includes streaming, retweeting, tweeting about their artist, using the # they come up with, trending it and a lot more. Only buying his songs on iTunes and listening to his cd's in the car is sadly not enough anymore.
