Once again, I am gob=smacked, stunned and amazed at this show from beginning to end. They are all at the peak of everything they do. Wow! And the San Jose crowd was definitely into it to the max!
Can anyone help me a bit with Adam's "speech" segment? It was a bit muffled and I had a hard time getting it all. He seemed to have a few really funny parts, but a little hard to hear.
LOVE IWIA so much. It's a real tour de force for Adam. Thanks for excellent vids!

Phronni7, great post. And I agree with a lot of it. But I think Adam is in a different position in his career than Brian. Fans look for and dissect everything they can find out about Adam personally and professionally. From speculation about his personal life, to what he and his love pay for their clothing, to speculation of who paid for them. Even his likes are reported extensively (not a criticism of all the info bought over for Adam but a fact). How much more can he really give without confirming what is already out there? And when he comments about something, often someone will take offense and change his meaning completely. Brian does not have everyone constantly looking for every bit of information about him and his family life (maybe they did in the past tho). So if Adam needs to be a bit guarded, it seems reasonable to me for him to want to keep something for himself. But to me, he gives us a lot and I am grateful for that. Whatever and how much he wants to share is good enough for me. I don't feel I am missing anything by not knowing everything.
As for that review, I think sometimes they use Adam's heartfelt speech about Freddie as an excuse to say even he knows he is not Freddie. Which is silly. Of course he knows he is not Freddie as he is Adam Lambert. And for those at the concerts, Adam Lambert seems to be more than enough. But almost every review prints the speech as if someone would think he was trying to pass himself off as Freddie, if the speech were missing. And they want to make sure that everyone knows he is not. After 6+ years, of being the frontman for Queen, you would think they would be over it. He is the frontman now and Freddie will not be back. I'm sure Adam wishes he were still here too. But I wonder if Paul gave such a speed and if not, did they think he was pretending to be Freddie? Kiss, Van Halen, ACDC and others all have different frontmen. It happens and it does not make them a cover band or tribute act.

@lurleene I think it is partly Adam's music theatre background and, especially, American Idol start that rockers and rock and roll critics have no respect for. It seems many of them can't look past that. And there is nothing Adam can do about that except try to win them over with each show.

I don't usually pay much attention to the critics, but now I'm curious. But not curious enough to turn off my ad blocker! lol Can you tell me what he said?

And just in case anyone missed it, this is the song that Roger was referring to in his Instagram post. It is such a light and breezy melody, but its lyrics are somewhat darker. They could even reference Adam's experience and his wish for continuity in show business. I think we can all celebrate how well Adam has done!
