I picked this "Adam in Black and Spikes" photo just cause! And then in a weird twist of fate Reihmer posted the same photo on the 10.14.11 News Thread.

Many people know that for over a year I had publicly supported and hoped for the release of the Citizen Vein studio recordings. In March 2011 I posted my best attempt to summarize of the history of recording of these songs at Paramount Studios. I am a fan of this music and the Citizen Vein Project.

The recording sessions took place years ago and the style of the music is not "current", but IMO that is no reason to ignore music.

The music is not "mature work" and is somewhat raw, but IMO that is part of the charm. It is early work.

Adam clearly does not support this release, but IMO that is not a reason for me to pass on it -- even though I know it is enough for most fans.

So if Adam could not compel me NOT to buy this album, what could possible tip the scale?

It's really simple -- deceptive and false advertising.

I have been a marketing professional for a long time. I have also been a customer advocate. Presenting BFM as an "Adam Lambert Album" is false and deceptive. Add to that the transparent attempts to have paid stooges shill for this album all over the Web and they push me into the.....

DO NOT ACCEPT THIS ALBUM AS A GIFT,
RETURN IT TO THE RETAILER IF YOU ARE GIVEN IT,
DO NOT STEAL OR KEEP THESE TRACKS,
DO NOT PROMOTE THIS ALBUM OR MUSIC IN ANY WAY
CAMP.

If this music is cleanly and ethically released as Citizen Vein music featuring Adam Lambert, then I may retract my NO BUY, NO KEEP recommendation. But until that likely event occurs, my strong recommendation is to take the NO BUY, NO KEEP pledge.

Now I think it is important to move beyond this distraction and focus on the primary creative endeavor, Adam's new music.
