Yay....It's up on YT It does sound like My Conviction.....lol Love it! So funny. I can just picture him in the studio (probably because we saw video of him in the studio, duh!). Won’t be on the radio, that’s for sure! That is great! I could see the evil Emperor as I listened, lol.

Well, since Freddie is a pretty big part of the concerts, it seems fair that some reviewers assume the concerts are a tribute act (to Freddie), especially with Adam's Freddie speech. But I doubt there'll come a point where Roger and Brian will want to eliminate Freddie altogether; that would cause fans to have get angry for sure. Let's face it, for a lot of the fans, Freddie IS Queen, and Brian and Roger are more or less supporting acts. I'm not into rock music as such, so I don't know how big or small a part a drummer and guitar player usually play in a rock band. It's a conundrum, a balancing act for Roger and Brian for sure. The would be no Queen without Roger and Brian. In some bands, it is all about 1 or 2 members, but in Queen's case, the four were pretty equal in importance. Although in the later part of Freddie's active career (1978-1984ish), it became more about Freddie than it was in the early years. It returned to a bit of balance at the very end.
JMHO I think that after this tour, Adam can tone down his Freddie speech a bity. That speech, LOML, and the video clips are Freddie tributes. And it mostly feels right to me. I am not too concerned about the critics -- as long as they don't use the dreaded term "tribute act."

Here's the quote: "He’s a champion now in the eyes of millions of fans worldwide for bringing Queen back to majestic new life as a high-end tribute act with the two remaining members." It's in the 3rd paragraph of the review posted on page 4. Okay, I missed it. Never mind. Now I’m curious to see whether it’s the same reviewer as the older review. ETA I can’t find what I thought I saw yesterday... it might have been an old review for DC, not Pittsburgh. Anyhow, I guess I’m over whether some random reviewer calls them a tribute band... that’s only happened, what, twice? on this tour. The reviews have been great overall. I guess that’s why I skimmed over it in this review. I should have just kept quiet, lol. It must have been a QAL concert review from another city. This is the first QAL concert in Pittsburgh. They were last there in 2006 with Paul Rodgers.

Adam NAILED Give the People What They Want! He was born to do stuff like this. Theater is in his blood. He just gets into a character and takes it to the max. The song is so clever and fun. Adam just gives it every comic nuance he has. Lino has to be over the moon with his discover of Adam. I think he WILL use him again for future projects. Love that the song is getting noticed!
