I never cease to be amazed. Never. A talent like Adam who fronts a world-renowned band and gets tons of accolades for it world-wide should logically have a strong following for his solo work, too. Fans, new and old, who see this amazing person with the golden voice, need to realize that they can find equal joy in his own music. You'd think it would be a no-brainer. Except that A) a majority of Adam's solo music does not show off his voice like the Queen music does. B) IMO, the solo music is not as extraordinary and memorable as much of the Queen catalog. C) This fan loves, LOVES Adam's voice, but doesn't care for the music he has been putting out. So this devoted fan does not find equal joy in Adam's own music. I don't enjoy listening to it. And I don't listen to it. I listen to Adam's pre-Idol singing, his Idol covers, and his singing of Queen. When I listen to music, it is for my own pleasure, not to help Adam succeed. Sorry. I wasn’t planning to jump in on this discussion but I agree with this. For me personally, I think Adam’s own music is fine but it doesn’t give me the same feelings and it does not show off his voice the way Queen music does. I think he’s a natural rock singer over anything else. He has his own unique sound but his rock edge is the reason why I was first entranced by his rendition of Whole Lotta Love, even more than Bohemian Rhapsody. I also listen to music for my own benefit and pleasure and as with everything else, some things appeal to my ears more than others. Also, I believe that it is rare to like all of an artist’s recordings. It is what it is unfortunately.

I can't keep up with him as is but I'm more into the person than the music. It seems two edged, if fans don't like him with Queen and only want his music then why would they want more social engagement with him? I'd say it's those of us who enjoy both aspects who would love more but then as I said before there is more than enough to keep up on without him having to lift a finger.
Not saying at all that I don't think he could use his "chats" better. "Ask me questions - good questions" is not my idea of a good time. I was glad the last chat was ripped to youtube because I could put it on 2x speed. He needs to come up with a subject, talk about it, and lead fans into asking more questions about that. He's taken the advice "interact" to mean Q&A and that really only works if you take every question.

Also, I believe that it is rare to like all of an artist’s recordings. It is what it is unfortunately. I like Adam's new music but I must admit it isn't as hard hitting as I was expecting (hoping). With some of the earlier interviews (while he was still with a major label) he said he wanted his new music to capture some of the Queen audience. I thought that would make a lot of sense seeing the reactions to him. Even some of them would be a big help. I was hoping for some sweeping ballads that showed off his voice and more rockish tunes and away from dance. I guess he changed his mind after going Indie but he seems to have moved away from club music. But those older fans buy music too and that is what has helped Adele and Sam tho I'm not a big fan of theirs. But they go after everyone, young and older. Hard to lose with universal appeal and not just going for a niche audience. There are certain artists with huge pop appeal who are going to get the massive radio play and push and they are generally the younger artists. Again, I like Adam's new music but it barely shows off what is so special about him.

Just returned from the QAL concert in Tampa. I sat in an opera box on stage (far left). I liked it! I felt close to Adam. Brian was on the other side most of the time. This is my 3rd QAL concert and I can truthfully say, I enjoyed it the most. The sound on stage was incredible. And Adam's voice was so crystal clear, I don't remember him sounding that good! His hair, so lush. Near the end, he kept running his hand thru it. He must have trimmed his facial hair, as it wasn't as thick as the pix in Miami Beach. We saw a lot of his back, but you know, his back is also pretty damn sexy! I am going to try to put some pix on this page tomorrow. Oh, it's already tomorrow! Ok, later today!

Just to balance this out with another opinion ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .. I love Adam's voice, full stop, pretty much whatever he's singing. I love hearing him sing using the full range of his voice with Queen, but I personally prefer listening to Adam's solo music, especially his new, current music. As an artist, I really appreciate his evolving musical tastes, and love that he explores all the different qualities of his voice. Although I really enjoy his high and big notes, as when he sings Queen songs, I don't have to hear it in his solo music to fully appreciate his voice. His voice is pure magic! To add to the balance, I second pi 's opinion, and I too prefer Adam's solo music at this point. Adam's voice is unmatched and he can do anything with it, such as sing lead for Queen and hit all the glory notes, but I am quite saturated with those for now. I like how Adam has evolved, and even though I don't love every song and every music video, I do find the new sound quite refreshing. I am thinking of the first Idol tracks that got me hooked. It was Tracks Of My Tears, which followed Ring Of Fire. Those two songs were the beginning of a journey that I have been on for the past 10 years, and I think besides the many musical stunners mixed in with some bumps on the road it was always the man behind the music who has kept me going. His own music provides a little window into his soul and personal journey, and I can't wait for new surprises and revelations.

Funny he was already following Bernie Sanders and Corey Booker when I scrolled down. Guess he's not into Biden...lol. Well maybe He learned that force feeding Hillary, the Epitome, the embodiment of what the public detested about politics didnt beat HeWhoCannot amed so he's going with the "non-established" candidates this time around. My biggest fear is that the dnc will try the same thing with Biden again and we have another 4 years of insanity. Jmho *running for the Hills* If this is too much politics i'll delete my Post.
