I'M EXCITED for the AMA's! ( and a little nervous) I am taking this rumor with a grain of salt. Kelly Clarkson has already been announced and I don't think the AMAs would have 2 Idols on. Plus, it's the AMAs. C'mon! HUGE grain of salt BUT I still think it's possible given their...history  and I think it would be huge for their ratings... so IDK but I hope it's true. |

Kelly was on with Adam before - you know, where she sounded fabulous and he.........well....didn't. no...he didn't...hence the nervous part on my post. But I know he'll be GREAT. He's learned a lot since then. |

Adam performing his new single on the AMAs is all win! The network can promote the hell out of the "what will Adam do THIS time?" angle. After all, Adam was on two years ago and the AMAs are still getting all kinds of PR for it. The "return" of the wild child would be huge news.
I don't quite understand what folks are skeert of. Two years ago, Adam was the new kid on the block amongst all those huge stars. He hadn't yet had a single hit record, or released his album. The only "cred" he had with the audience was as a reality show contestant, albeit a very popular one. He was also still trying to figure out his post-Idol brand... what does the public expect? What do my fans want? Despite Adam's many years experience onstage, this was very nerve-wracking and had been built up to a crazy degree.
Flash forward two years, and Adam has probably 150 performances as a solo pop star under his belt. He has a Grammy nomination. His first album was a hit. He has toured the world. He knows how to stage a number for a live performance. He has met many of the "greats" and worked with the top producers. He is a household name---he is mentioned in textbooks. He has learned to live in the relentless public eye. He has learned a great deal about what he can and can't do on live TV. He survived his "near-death" of his career (what people were saying it would be, and what he admits to worrying about), and we know our BB moves forward and rarely makes the same mistake twice.
If the rumor is true and Adam does perform, I think it will be a total triumph. Another of those full circle moments Adam loves. This rumor is FANTASTIC!!!

Idol360 Idol360 Kelly Clarkson, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Mumford & Sons, Adam Lambert, Adele, The Script, and Lykke Li will all have a VH1 Unplugged show. 4 minutes ago Since this is a different list from the last list, it could be true. When do they record these shows usually? I this their 2012 line-up? Plus, it would be amazing. |
