I don't recognize most of the singers on the Avicii list but Aloe Blacc has had quite a bit of success and the song he did for Avicii is really catchy, I've heard it quite a bit and it hit No 1 in lots of countries and various charts in the US.

svca i don't recognize anyone else except Rita and Adam either and i wanna say, i know a few singers. I watched the 50 min GMA video this morning while i was opening plums for a 'Datshi' and that off air bit from the hosts where soo excited and geeking out. so sweet and cute. Only a few hours left!!! Oh my gosh, are you making a Zwetschgen Datschi? I LOOOOOVE those. My great aunt used to make those all the time (I was born near Munich). I love Zwetschgen. |

All I can say is, I LOVE the longer snippet of Superpower! It sounds like what I've been hoping for! Upbeat, funky, engaging, and it shows off Adam's vocals. Can't wait to hear the whole thing! It sounds like it has a good hook that pulls you along really hard and fast. This one might just take off!
So happy that Adam is part of the Avicii concert! He'll do LMD, for sure. GREAT song that should have been one of the singles. Go figure.
Can't wait for tomorrow.

Have to say, I really liked that snippet Adam posted...very excited about the song now.  I was kind of bummed about NE and CIH (although I really like NE in the red room performance, or wherever that acoustic performance was). I think my main problem is that I just don't have any kind of attachment to the 70's sound, it doesn't resonate with me. I came to the US in '72 and listened to country music for the next 10 years or so. Pop music wasn't even on my radar, so I'm totally unfamiliar with the groups or singers that were popular in the 70's. And I'm not hugely attracted to the shredding and the electric guitar; Brian is the only one I kind of like the guitar sound with. But Superpower sounds promising, and I'm sure there'll be other songs on the Velvet that I'll like. |

svca i sure am making Zwetschgen-Datschi ; we had to ask our neighbours to put it it oven because when my mom went to Check on it, she realized, that the oben light was on, it was making sounds, but wasn't heating. Thank goodness for our great neighbours!!! I'll make sure to send you a piece of the cake 😁
