So more reading material, for those inclined. This time about what to do with the data and there's lots of data but it still needs interpreting. And once you figure out what the data is telling you can you use that to create more data? So you are an artist with a song or two out there, how's it doing? Your team, label, management, publicity, yourself can all get info from sites like Chartmetric (free for some things if you are like me and like that kind of thing) more pricey for artists who want more detail. It gives you detail on followers, playlists, wikipedia views, twitter retweets - a whole smorgasboard of what one company thinks can give insight into/for an artist. If you see your YouTube views went up yesterday but you stayed in bed and didn't post anything why were people looking? Did Taylor Swift include you in a playlist? We know that Runnin' is a popular song with fans but it seems to be popular with anime folks too - which we know is because it was used in a poplular video featuring some characters running - go figure. Did you hear Adam say in the Valentine in the morning interview that he'd love to see fans showing off their dance moves to SP - hmmm would a contest like that raise interest? What about showing off their SuperPower? The article gives the example of an artist sharing cooking vids - Adam could do that, he used to share books. But retweeting fans? Maybe not so much - must seem needy. Anyway, as you read, think of the things you could see Adam's team doing or what they may have done in the past.
