If I am interpreting it correctly, this means that they haven't just held it up pending some action, or delayed it for the time. This sounds permanent. And, yes, it could reincarnate as another CD with another name at another time, but for now.... what's Malcolm gonna do with all those CDs he has been manufacturing? Hope he paid for a lot to be made and has to eat the loss. Welcome SherriEllen! He will probably take a bath on them. Years ago, my dad foolishly invested in a CD project with a local Austin musician. I can't remember exactly what happened, but somehow the music got held up after the CDs were made and all the people who invested lost 100% of the money they put in. It was a dumb investment on my dad's part because he didn't know anything about the music business, and the guy who talked him into it was a bozo. Kind of like Welsford, it sounds like! The musician was disappointed too. What a business! |

I dunno - I think the BFM/Citizen Vein recordings are probably worth more than Taylor's masters. I hope Adam just got an injunction, versus paying the sleezeball off. However, I'm willing to bet that if Adam did buy them, he wouldn't state so publicly. |
