I'm ecstatic for Adam! He's living his dream which means making the music he loves AND being famous. He is not a fame whore, but I recall an interview while he was still on Idol. The reporter asked why they were on Idol... Gokes and KA both answered with some bullshit about how they weren't in it to be famous... Adam chimed in and forthrightly declared HE wanted to be famous-- that was why he was on Idol! I don't think fame is everything to Adam. But fame is exactly what he needed and wanted in order to live his dream life and have the kinds of opportunities he has today. Adam is an entertainer. Of course he wanted--wants-- fame. Does anyone else remember this article? Absolutely! One of the best articles from that time, and it gave SO much insight into the mindset of Adam, Kris, and Danny, and how each of them approached the show. Adam comes across as unapologetic and 1000% laser-focused on his goals. I think this is the quote you refer to, but the rest of article is well worth a read if anyone hasn't already: Gokey admits that being home makes him want to win for the hometown folks. "I did wonder, 'Why do they want me?' But I just want to give love back. I'm not here for the attention." "I am!" Lambert cuts in. The line cracks the others up, but he's not joking. "Look," says Lambert, "I didn't really come here to win as much as I came to get exposure and build my career. It's about what the show gives us." Gokey listens, then says, "I think it's about leaving a mark in people's hearts." Lambert takes it in, but continues. "I have treated the whole show as a set list, really. To show all my angles. So if I do an album, it'll be a reflection of what I did on the show." Link: www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2009-05-12-idol-peek_n.htmHis strategic approach and vision for his own future and balls-to-the-wall attitude never fails to make me UNF! that's it!!! I love his candor, his honesty and his fearlessness. Even back then he was upfront about what he wanted and refused to kowtow in order to be more PC or acceptable. He's good. In all ways. musically, spiritually, character and talent. He doesn't have to pretend.

These boots look so much better on him than the cat. picture. Just seeing them on the catalogue I'd never think they could look so good. Not enough imagination, I guess :-/ I think these boots would be perfect for a winter trip to Finland ;D

No, I really don't. Don't have his CD and don't plan on buying it. I've just been a fan of country music, off and on, enough to know the difference between traditional country (Dunn, Nettles, McEntire, Scotty) and contemporary country. (Carrie, Swift, Shania, Faith Hill) That is all I'm going to say about country music, Scotty, etc. I just didn't want to be labeled as some big SM fan, because I am not! I'm sure that Adam enjoys certain aspects of fame, and he definitely enjoys the money that success brings. It means he can afford those fabulous boots!!

Well, I see what you're saying, but I see it a bit differently. Adam wants many, many people in America and around the world to know who he is and to like and love his music and HIM, as a performer. He wants the world to be his stage, wants the attention, the success, the opportunities and the freedom to share his artistic vision. If he were focused only on the art he could have done that. But he wants it all. He's going for the big brass ring and being famous is part of the prize. I don't think he was happy as a chorus boy, he even said no one noticed him and he did not like it. In my mind, there is nothing at all wrong with wanting to be famous, as long as that is not all he is. He is not a Kardashian, famous for being famous. Adam is becoming famous for what he truly has to offer-- talent and music and for what he means as a cultural icon of change.

Before this EPIC day with pics posts etc started , I posted a huge photo this one, saying I had never seen it before and I was puzzled but then the flailing started and I couldn't keep my mind in one place lol. NOW I found out why it puzzled me. This picture is a piece of his CD cover and they reversed it, lol, they also made it brighter and it looked like a new picture to me. i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l597/gelly414/ATOP/ad1016.jpg
