Well, for one thing, when Take One came out, Adam didn't have the money to buy the masters, probably. And, for Adam, buying the masters may just be a way for him to end this FOREVER!!! It could be worth it.

But yet there are iTunes ads that get pulled and the fact that this same material has been pulled being released before. It's all pretty strange. And if RCA has no recourse, then why did they want to know about ads and stuff that fans were finding? I think they can say something about the misrepresenting ads – those claiming to be "Adam's sophomore album" or "official single," but not the release itself. Who the hell knows what is going on with that other ping-pong match. It's up, it's down, it's up with a deluxe edition, it's gone ... Whack-A-Mole, indeed. mys*&@^#r, interesting about Oli having a couple of tracks on Kelly's album. I thought this passage in the Billboard track-by-track review kind of interesting: www.billboard.com/features/kelly-clarkson-stronger-track-by-track-review-1005432302.story#/features/kelly-clarkson-stronger-track-by-track-review-1005432302.story"Stronger," Kelly Clarkson's fifth full-length in nine years, should be arriving at a high point in the pop-rock singer's career. Her last album, 2009's "All I Ever Wanted," bounced back from 2007's uneven "My December" with the help of super-producers Dr. Luke and Max Martin by spawning hits like "My Life Would Suck Without You" and "I Do Not Hook Up" and giving Clarkson her second No. 1 on the Billboard 200. "All I Ever Wanted" was an impressive rebound, but "Stronger" has not emerged as the victory lap it deserves to be: the album was pushed back multiple times by RCA Records, and first single "Mr. Know It All" has stalled outside on the Hot 100's Top 20. Meanwhile, Luke and Martin are nowhere to be found on the album credits. I wonder why Max Martin and Dr. Luke seem to have dropped off the radar a bit. I know there are rumors of RCA starting a separate label that will be headed by Dr. Luke (and he was tweeting about working with Kesha a while ago), but I don't think I've heard much about Max since Adam and the NASCAP Award. Seems strange that after their previous success, they did not work with Kelly at all on this album. And the mystery still remains if Adam and MM did end up working together.

Q3 quote: (The only other scenario I can come up with is that it is not release because Adam buys the recording masters. That would be such a waste of money IMHO and Adam is way to smart to do that, This is so implausible and inconsistent with how Adam has treated Take One.)
What kind of money do you guestimate it would take to buy the masters?
Adam is pretty strong-headed when he is cornered, I suspect. He may see it as a point of honor.

Max being missing is a mystery. I don't want to propose bad news, but is it possibble Max might be ill? I dunno.
ETA: Also, All I Ever Wanted has sold about as much as FYE, I think (domestically.) Kelly probably has a larger international audience than Adam because she is popular in the UK.

It could be worth it. The CV masters are worth more than TO. I would rather Adam gave $1,000,000 to Trevor Project than pay for those masters. There are versions of most of the CV songs available online anyway. So the songs aren't secret. The versions on BFM were similar to the live performances. I guess we will see what happens in this silly soap opera. But I will angst over it only if there are dueling albums when Adam releases his real new album. And then it will just be a mini-angst.

And if RCA has no recourse, then why did they want to know about ads and stuff that fans were finding? JMHO -- they were trying to divert fans from blasting radio stations and retailers with emails, comments and tweets. So they gave them a task. Customer Containment strategy. And it worked. Note: The Q102 database issue is a Clear Channel database issue and they know about it. Adam fans are blasting lots of radio stations about it. (FYE is no longer on the Clear Channel Adam Lambert discography but BFM is there.) Please do not send any more emails and tweets. When did RCA ever say that they didn't want fans to communicate with radio stations? They said to let them know if we saw anything and never to my recollection did they ever say, "Let us handle it." They could have done so, easily, but they did not. Not through AO, RCA Promo, RCA Music or SonyMusic.
