Velvet feels like the gloves well and Truley off. Feels Adams abandoned chasing top 40. And like he said he has gone back to music from the past. More instruments. More real music. Ppl always say Adams a throwback artist. If this was the 70s Adam would be bigger then Adam Ant, Bowie, Mercury, Plant etc. I’m 31. But my Father grew up on Neil Diamond. So I grew up on 70s decade. My fav decade. So I see so many influences from that era. But it also feels so modern. I don’t know how successful Velvet we’ll be in terms of chart success. Guess depends on how far his label push it. But it feels like the defining work of his career. Every song feels like part of a story. I am hopeful Superpower charts well. It we’ll lead to high profile tv gigs. And more opportunities. I have a sense though we’re aboit to witness the rise of Adam Lambert. 3ku1 So well said. {I grew up with Neil Diamond too--Like Neil, I was born in Brooklyn New York.} Loved Neil's songwriting. I think Velvet is Adam's best songwriting yet.
